That's so cool! My dad (who is bipolar - unmedicated) decided one year when we kids were little, that he was going to raise racoons. He got ahold of this HUGE cage. One where you could walk into it, for them. He had three racoons inside (this is all in our front yard on the main road). He walked inside the cage, and they ALL attacked him. And he was STUCK inside the cage! lol Poor Daddy. They tore him up. He let them go out in the country, and the cage was gone the next day.

Belle~ I forget where in KC area are you.
I am in Indep near Indep Center Mall off 291 Hwy and we have Deer all the time around here too........who knew KC had so many Deer roamin around?Last edited by MamaFairal; 05-01-2005 at 08:04 AM.

How pretty! I do miss seeing wildlife like that. Where I'm from you get to see a lot of it, unfortuantely it's always on the side of the road.
I love living in the city where we don't see roadkill. When I went back to visit two weeks ago, I was so scared to drive at night b/c the deer are so thick and my family lives in the middle of no where.. well, I can't say that, they live in the middle of a million farms. 
But at night, the stars sure are pretty! Don't get that in the city.

We have a lot of deer around here as well and they come right up to the house. One day I walked into the living room and there was a little fawn looking right in the window. We also have an albino deer that comes around quite a bit - here are some pics that I took of him this winter:
