Go see the La Brea Tar pits!! I still can't believe the story behind those....history is amazing sometimes. Also, the Natural History Museum of L.A. county. Of course, those are educational and you might be able to use your entrance fees as a tax write off since it is a "business trip"

    (don't worry Nana.....there aren't any earthquakes predicted...just weird landslides)

You could always go and see all the places where Jim Morrison used to hang out when he lived there. That's what I'm going to do if I ever get to L.A. lol He lived in Laurel Canyon for a while. It's supposed to be very nice there. Sunset Boulevard is probably something you might want to see.

Jim Morrison was cool. Big fan of him. If I ever get up to Arlington Va I want to find the house he lived in there as well!

Actually, we're about due for an earthquake. They really aren't all that bad. Just don't stand on any hillsides or visit anybody who lives on one.

There are some nice museums. I've never been to the Ghetty Museum but heard it's worth seeing.

Too bad we can't have a So Cal BBS get-together. Then you can meet all of us nice BBS'ers.
Dear Lord, please give me the strength to not slap an idiot today......Amen.

OMG...Los Angeles is a thriving metropolis and there is tons to do.

Disneyland/Disney's California Adventure (good for two days)
    Universal Studios tour
    Magic Mountain
    Knott's Berry Farm

Go to the beach...Venice Beach in particular is good for some characters!

    Museums...lots of those

Theater...we have lots of live theater in Los Angeles...search to see what's at the Pantages on Hollywood Boulevard...(right now Chicago is playing..or well be soon.)

Plus...if you know the dates...you can try and get tickets to television show filmings, i.e., the Jay Leno show.

Los Angeles is a huge, sprawling, urban area and just driving around can be an experience.

Heck...if you can make your way to Burbank during a weekday...I'll take you to lunch at the Disney Studios commissary and give you a tour of the studio.
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

He sure is. I would like to go to the Pere Lachaise in Paris where he was supposedly buried.

Re: What Cool Things Are There To Do In Los Angeles???

Is there someplace online where you can get discounts to Universal Studios or DisneyLand in LA. Going this weekend and it was going to rain but now it looks like it will be dry so thinking of hitting one of these.

    Thanks,
