(surely by 40 even i will look over 21 right? lol i thought by 30 i would, but it is creeping up on me and i still look the same. well, the same when clairol comes to visit

How flattering with my gray hair to be carded....

Re: Would It Bother You To Be Carded ??
when I smoked (quit over a year ago, yea!!)
I was carded 3 times. the first, my id was in the car and by the time I got it and came back in the store, there was a line! So that one bothered me.
The second time, I thought she was kidding. I told her, ok but DON'T say the year out loud, lol. she just looked and didn't say anything.
The third time, the clerk said, "should I card you or not" By that time, I told her I would show her a pic of my GRANDDAUGHTER, lol.
by the way, I'm almost 42.
and the funniest thing is I used to buy smokes when I was 15 and no one said anything then. Same as for drinking. The only time I was ever carded was on my 21st birthday.

Re: Would It Bother You To Be Carded ??
Yes it would annoy me because I'm usually in a hurry and hate to dig for my license. I don't look anywhere NEAR 21, being 35 and all..... lol I did get asked for my birthdate when buying smokes at a BP station. I made up a date because I don't like giving out my birthdate. I have to say I will do everything possible to avoid going in there again.

Re: Would It Bother You To Be Carded ??
it's annoying to be carded from people you shop from all the time and know you by name. there was this market by my work, they knew my name, knew where i worked, i would go there at least 4 times a week, but everytime they would card me. it was really annoying.
I don't support stupidity!

Re: Would It Bother You To Be Carded ??
The only thing I find annoying about the whole 'we card' business is that I NEVER got carded until AFTER I was actually legal to buy alcohol... NEVER. But then again, I did go to high school in a small town and most of the 'kids' that ran the beer side of the liquor store went to school w/ me.
