Never in a million years would I let my house look like that, but if I did, I know I would never ever let anyone in letallone come in and video tape for the entire nation to see...why is their pride??? But those 2 snobby women really get things clean.

Re: Its on again...
I wish this show wasn't on so darn late. I would really like to see it. lol Did they manage to get the gum cleaned up. I'm curious as to how long these houses stay clean. If people are really that dirty I don't think they are going to bother keeping it clean.

Re: Its on again...
They cleaned up the gum by putting bags of ice on them and freezing them, then they would scrap it off. Then if any of the stain was left she used white turpentine and dabbed at it till it was gone.
They go back in 2 weeks and do a check to see if they are keeping it clean.

Re: Its on again...
OK I want to say my house is not clean. No I have never seen the show on tv and I would like to see it. But I can say my house is not clean. It is so much harder as I get older to bend over and clean behind the toilet and dust the ceiling fans. It seems like I work just as much as ever but I just don't get as much done. I've never been a prize winning housecleaner. And I spend lots of time reading this forum and not cleaning house. My attitude about it has changed. I will be dead and gone and the house work will still be here but I might miss something here on the forum if I am gone too long. I also have clutter everywhere. No I wouldn't want to have my house on one of those shows even when it is at it's best but it rarely is. I know that I have friends who don't keep great houses either. I used to have a friend who would shove everything under the couch or into the oven so the place would look decent when someone dropped by. When my son came by yesterday I said you can't see the house because it is worse than it's ever been. He said you know I have to see it now. He came in and said " Oh, I see the hurricane came thought here too." Do I have pride, yes. Do I care, yes. Can I do something about it? Yes when it gets bad enough to bother me I will. Does everyone else on here keep an immaculate house or there others like me?

You have to see the show...its not just cluttered...it is absolutly filthy. Chewed gum thrown on the floor opposed to in the trash...the fridge actually had dead little bugs in it...you could NOT see her counter at all...on one show a woman actually had cat poop in her bed...My house is far from immaculant (sp) but no where near this. I am sure they are told to do absolutly nothing for at least a month before airing. Our house being "lived in" is one thing but I promise you this house is filthy. If it were mine, I think I would just move out and never return, I would never think that someone could clean it, just burn it and start over. Just for the record, I could always be cleaning if I wanted but just chose not to. But dirty laundry is one thing, filth is another. I hope you can catch the show it really is amazing how clean they get it.
