Remember Bug's rash?
I thought it was 5th disease. I still called his Dr., but he was out of town for the week. Since he seemed ok (no fever, no itching), I waited out the week. But it was really looking wierd, so I took him to the Doc last Monday, and the Doc couldn't say exactly what it was except it was a virus. And because it wasn't doing anything except looking bad, they said to wait it out. But on a hunch he did a strep test. To everyone's surprise (Dr., nurse, me) it came out positive! I asked the nurse "so you can have strep and not have a sore throat?", and she said "apparantly". I guess you learn something new everyday, and I don't think the doc ever saw strep manifesting itself in that way. But at least he's being treated for it and is taking antibiotics. Doc said he's seen a couple of cases of strep this summer. The only thing bugging Bug (and me) was having to be separated from everyone and not going to the park. But he's not contagious any more, so he's enjoying his summer again.
