OK my dog needs your help!

What on earth do you give a little Pekingese who is constipated??? She is not doing well and needs to go! Weird question but I am serious.

I know Vitamin B12 is a natural softener. It comes in liquid form, put it in the food.
The oil is all in Texas, but the dipsticks are in D.C.

Thanks you two. My Vet would not even tell me anything on the phone they just said bring her in . I will do that if these remedys don't work but I really hate to pay for a Vet if I can take care of it. Weird, she is getting old but eats the same food all the time so not sure why it happened.

We have a Shi Tzu that had a constipation problem, our vet recommended we give him a teaspoon of canned pumpkin with his food once a day and it worked....
Why not learn to enjoy the little things - there are so many of them.

Yep! Canned pumpkin, (not the pumpkin pie mix, just the pumpkin). If they are constipated, it will loosed things up. Our dogs have it pretty often and eat it like it's a treat.

For my cat the vet said to use mineral oil. I think we used 1/4 teaspoon twice a day, just until thinks were working right again. You can find mineral oil with the laxatives in the store. Hopefully with all these suggestions your dog will be going again soon! Hope she feels better.
P.S. I know they do it for there own protection (and your pets), but isn't it annoying how the vets can't give you ANY bit of info over the phone? It's always, "Nope, bring them in to see us." And then it costs you $35 just to hear, "give them <fill in the blank>", that you can go pick up from the grocery store. Really frustrating to me!

No to be gross but... Do you drain her anal gland?(or have it done when you have her groomed) This could be causing her not to want to go, she could have an impacted gland, little dogs are prone to this.(my Shi Tsu used to get that way)
