    Unhappy SNAKE in my house

Last night I saw a tail going behind my drapes.Left home! Back today and can find no snake. does anyone know how to lure it out in the open, so I can catch it and put it back outside? I am scared to go to sleep in my own house.

how did it get in? Probably a small hole in your house somewhere.
What does it eat? depending on what kind it is most likely mice, ground squirrels etc
Will it bite you?If provoked yesssss but they are as scared of you as you are of it.

I hope this doesn't sound rude but why didn't you try and get it out of your house when you first saw it? My first reaction would be to run away from it too but I don't think I would of left the house until someone had gotten rid of it for me. I hope you can find it.

I would be moving too!! I hate snakes, spiders and any other kind of outside critter! I hope you can get it out!

My mom gets them in her house too! I think she had 2 last summer. They were coming in through a pipe that went to an old washing machine or something. One crawled right in front of her feet when she was getting into the shower! And the other was in her laundry basket.

Oh gosh, Now I feel like things are crawling on me! lol

    Re: SNAKE in my house

Experienced snake Nana here. The last one on my kitchen counter, I grabbed Tice's boat oar and called my neighbors. I couldn't have touched that 4 ft. black snake as they wiggle and jump. I was just keeping track until my neighbors came in the door with their trusty hoes and got it outside. They put nearly a gallon of Snake-Away" (moth ball ingredients) all around my house - both inside and outside. No more snakes in the house so far. I have also stuffed steel wool into the holes around all the water pipes coming into the house. I keep a canister of moth crystals to sprinkle in any hole that I see even near the house. They don't eat the moth ball type stuff. The smell turns off their smell senses. I too am in the 'country' with lots of construction going on. The snakes are forced to go somewhere...but they can't live with me..................
    Toodles, Nanajoanie
