Thread: how honest are you?

i pride myself on being moral and just....blah blah blah
anywho....
i am the type of person who will go back to the store (at my convience) and pay for an item if they failed to charge me for it (no i am not joking).
i don't dl music or rip movies except my own.
i have never stolen anything since i was old enough to understand what stealing was.
i don't lie...ever...i have been mistake about things mind you but have never willingly told a lie...since i had kids and well, can't tell them on thing if i don't do it.
i don't smoke pot or do any other drug
i don't speed more than 1 or 2 miles over because it is impossible to be dead on
i don't call in to work just because i don't want to go in
i didn't start smoking until it was legal for me to buy them
if you ask me a ? or for my opinion i give it honestly (sometimes ppl take this as being rude but if you didn't want to hear something you didn't like perhaps you should not have asked)
etc. etc.
i am just wondering if i am a bit.....OVERLY honest...compared to others...lol. i prolly am.

Nah, lets see...

I don't steal
I don't do drugs of any kind (unless a doctor tells me to)
I don't speed but I don't drive either. lol
I don't call in sick to work when I don't feel like going because I am at my workplace 24-7 so theres no calling in for me.
I'm honest

I do smoke and I started smoking when I was like 9 or 10
I do d/l music
I don't know how to d/l movies or I would probably do that too LOL
If I don't get charged right for something, their loss and my gain. Unless of course its going to be my loss and then I say something. lol I know thats bad.
I don't cheat

lol....if they charge me and it is lower than the ticketed price...i don't complain...because that is how it is set up in their register so that is what they charge everyone...not just me....therefore...no problems with my concience..sp.
maybe i should let my hair down sometime...lol. i have friends way off the deep end different form me morally but love them none the less. i do play pranks and such...but alway tell the person before i head off or out that...heheh...GOTCHA. not sure if that would count as a lie though....or just sneaky

Well I will put myself out here...........

I somtimes lie to my kids, about sex or babies and whatnot. Sometimes I tell them I dont know, when I do and I just dont want to talk. But I try to be as honest as I feel for their ages. I also NEVER EVER tell them I will do somthing for them and not do it. I also never promise a punishment w/o following through.

I have lied to ppl before about when I would do somthing. I have told ppl yes I would do somthing then leave or not answer the phone. Not becuase I am mean or what have you but because I have the worst time saying NO to ppl when I am put on the spot or I just cant say no.

I have made up an email or two to get an extra freebie.

I have stolen baby formula once when I was desperate. (LONG STORY)

I have been arrested twice.

I never take anything I dont need or can't use. I have never stolen since the formula.

I have written a bad check (one of the arrests I had) was in 1996).

I dont take band aids from the hospital just becuase they are there. I dont pick up wallets or purses, just becuase the temptation may be to great. I do report them though.

I have not returned to the store a time or two when not charged for an item, as many times I have not returned to the store when I was undercharged.

I do not lie to my husband under no circumstance. EVER! I learned my lesson when we were first married.

~~I consider myself of aveage honesty. I have alot to improve on, thats for sure. I think most ppl are about like me, but most ppl wont admit to all the have been dishonest about, as I may have left some things out.I do try very hard in life! ~~

not one bit...i am an angel either.
i have used coded coupons...(says off 8 but rings up as off 4)

i have returned a used item because i just didn't like it after wearing it for a couple of hours

i admit i prolly would dl movies if i had the patience

i have sent rebates to my mom and sis...but i tell them to keep the $$

i have called to complain about an item or service that was maybe not as bad as it seemed...but darn it i paid for it...it better be good

i have taken advantage of programs that i may not be in the most dire and immediate need of but knew that if i didn't bills would not be paid...and i do qualify for them...never have lied or cheated to get something that i was not entitled to.

i sure a shoot would steal if it came down to feeding my kids...i would sell sex to feed them if i had to...not that my bod would get me far...lol. i am not in the greatest shape.

i do hide my $$ from my husband but i am leaving him because he is a piece of carp and i need $$ to raise my kids since he can't be counted on.

i don't lie but i have not fully disclosed certain details of my life...because they aren't anyones business but my own...that sort of thing.

i have failed to report things because i just didn't have time or didn't get involved or cause a scene or was just afraid of what would happen if i did.

I'm brutally honest.
I don't steal.
I don't break laws beyond speeding and wearing a seatbelt.
I don't sugar coat the truth or my opinion of things.
I smoke.
I drink casually.
I'm very private about my personal life.
I'm very protective of those I love.
I drive way too fast (see above)
I haven't been arrested since I was 18 and mooned at cop at a sit-in.
I haven't done any illegal substances since I was 17 years old.
I vote in every election, on every level.
I don't go to church.
I do believe in God.

I need to add a few things now...

I do drink every once in a while (2 or 3 times a year)
I have smoked pot but that was in my teen years

I do believe in God
I've never been arrested and hope I never do

I also would steal if I had no other way to feed my kids and would also sell my body if I needed to. I doubt that would get me much though. LOL

i tried pot once in teens
i ahve never been aressted but have had my rights read to me (long story-end was i slugged my husband's ex in the court house when she called mw a b****and said my money was hers as well (we went to court & the da threw it out-i was told not to come back to juvenile court though)
i respect others
i have sped from time to time

Hmmmm.... I don't think I'm all that honest:

I tell my friends what they want to hear when they ask "does my butt look big" or "you you like my hair cut".
My grandpa has hundreds off ripped movies on his computer and burns them into DVDs for friends and family- and I tell him which ones to get!
I lied to my grandpa when he asked me what me and Jaime were doing on the garage table- I told him we were trying to reach something on the other side of it.
I got busted in Escondido when we spent the night at my friends house because we thought curfue was 11 but it was 10. But since I had my cell phone the cop let us call her sister and let the 7 of us pile into her sisters crappy car (I remember he said something along the lines of "you have three minutes to get them out of here!" when she arrived.) My parents and friends here have never been told about that.
When I went "shopping" everyday over Spring Break it was because I was over at Jaimes.
My computer upstairs that I don't use because "the internet is too slow" hasn't worked in over 3 years because me and my friend downloaded so much porn onto it that it got viruses and crashed!

Ummm yeah, other then that I'm a pretty good person!

Never cheated on anything in school- tests or whatever
I'll come forward and tell my teacher if my grade is wrong like she gives me credit for something I didn't turn in.
I don't steal things that don't belong to me.
Never done drugs, smoked, drank... and never will (With the exception of our wedding... but I don't plan on hitting the bottle all the time)
If a friend asks me to keep a secret and keeping it could put his or her life endanger- I'll tell, because I'de much rather have them alive to be angry at me.
I'll return money if I'm overchanged (Except that one time where I didn't know till we got home and started entering my reciepts into my book that I got an extra $10 and it was too far to take back.)
I try hard not to lie unless it will save my butt.
I keep my promises and won't make a promise if I don't think I can keep it.


I think I'm kinda split down the middle. I try to be honest, but it's not the easiest thing for me most times!
