Thread: POLL : Do you think it's OK for a state to raise taxes on tobacco products

I do not agree with them just putting a tax on tobacco products if they would stop giving there self a raise every year (like they don't make enough already) and put that money into our schools,roads,and other things then they would not have the need to tax everything else I am so sick on them raising our taxes we already pay 8.75 on the 1.00 here where I live on everything and gas is so high that I want to get a horse and buggy!!!!!! I do smoke but that is not my reason for not wanting them to tax them I will go to the indian smoke shop where there is no tax at all so It will not effect me as much. They are thinking that if they tax us more that we will stop smoking however that is not the case some will never stop no matter how high they are I would love to stop smoking however I have kids that would never make it if I did LOL.
