Too many cats
On the news here this morning: (not in the paper yet)
A woman had over 100 cats in her home. You've all heard of incidents like this, so you know what kind of unhealthful state her house was in. The really bad part about it, of her 5 children, 3 are still minors living at home, and she worked for animal rescue. Cats were removed, kids taken by DCFS, and she's in jail. When the story comes out, I'll post it.

The house we lived in when I was growing up, there used to be a lady that lived down the road that had over 40 cats and I remember that
she had a dirt floor in her basement and that was used for the cats litter box.
She was a nice lady, but after her husband had passed away, she got lonely and I guess the cats are what gave her companionship.
I don't even know if she still lives there or whatever happened to the cats. Next time I go down to visit family I will have to drive by that house to see if it's even still standing.

Come on Spring!!
WOW!! Now that is a lot of cats to be living under one roof!! Hope the kids were healthy due to all those kitties being in the house. I would like to know just how in the world do you feed so many cats. I love my animals but I think we are done for now, 2 pugs, a snowshoe siamese, and a beta fish!

They had an episode of Animal Cops about a guy who collected cats. They call them cat collectors. They removed over 200 from his house. Usually the people that do this have some sort of mental illness. I love cats too but that is just too many. lol

That's so sad. 
I know she just wanted to help them but not only is that unhealthy, but unless she had a HUGE house, they didn't have enough room.
I forgot what the legal limit was. Isn't it like 5 or something? Maybe it varies by state.

The man had to take up house in the garage cause the cats over took his home! They had to wear gas masks in the house becuase of the amonnia smell!! It was awfull,
I sure hope the kids in the pp story are ok!

I remember that episode. I would be afraid to go in there. Cats were crawling everywhere, and they just kept coming out of the woodwork.

I think it took them two or three days to get them all out. They had to keep calling for more pet carriers.
