Thread: anyone ever been in a car accident??

I was just in a car accident last wednesday. The person's brakes went out and rammed into my car and my car is beyond repair and my back hurts, I went to the emergency. Should I get a attorney? I am not sure what all I am entittled(sp?) to. This was my first accident and not sure what to do. I do not have collision coverage so the other person's insurance has to pay. They came out to look at the car last friday and that was it. I called and left messages but they won't get back to me to tell me what to do. Any advice?

I was rear ended 3 years ago, My insurance co. handled it all for me, My medical bills were paid in full,Jeep was repaired, and got a decent settlement.

i have been in a ton of accidents, never as a driver though so i can't really help you there, but i would either let the insurance company handle it or get a laywer, don't try it your self.
