but i have no idea who take the gc as payment
any one here that sells on ebay knows how to use the gc

Hey, I won that too.

You have to have a paypal account. If you don't have one, maybe you can make one using the email address you got the GC to. I had a paypal account w/the email address I used but I never used it.

You can only use the GC when you win items off ebay, and if your paypal balance isn't enough to pay for your item you have to use a CC for verification b/c they don't ask if you want to use a GC until after that step.

I can't use mine b/c I don't use credit cards. I guess I could put money in the account I won with from my main paypal account so I don't need to enter CC info. Hmm.

The GC automatically goes in your paypal account and it only asks you if you want to use a GC after it asks how you want to pay. So you either have to have your PP account set to deduct from your bank account or have a CC.

It might work if you have enough in PP to pay for the item already. So maybe if you sell something and get the money in PP, it won't ask for CC info and then you can tell it to use the GC.

It's tricky. I wish they had just put the $25 in paypal instead of made it a GC.

If you buy something on ebay and it's $25 you have to have $25 in your account (or have a CC, or bank account) or it won't let you pay with that account even though you have the $25 GC.

Here's what the email says:

How to redeem your eBay Gift Certificate:
1. eBay has conveniently linked your Gift Certificate to your *****@*****.com PayPal account. To spend it, shop at www.ebay.com and find an item where the seller accepts PayPal as a payment method. Look for the logo.
2. Once you buy or win the item, select PayPal as your payment method.
3. Before completing your payment, click the button to Add/Select a Gift Certificate.

Between steps 2 & 3 it will ask for credit card info if your balance doesn't cover the cost of the auction. If you don't have a credit card, you won't get to step 3.

some bill collector messed up the account so bad that we had to close the account and the now we owe the bank money. so when i do buy i pay with money order or cash.

from your local rite-aid,walgreen's,gas station,etc.--then add it to your paypal account. you can put any amount on the card,and,since it's a debit card,you don't need good credit!! it usually costs $9.95 plus the amount you want to put on the card at first,then about $4.95 whenever you want to put more on the card. congrats on your win!!
