Soda cake people come in here please...
I have a friend who wants to try this. His favorite soda is regular mountain dew. You mix a can of the dew with a white cake mix, correct? There was also something about jello. What flavor jello would best be like regular mountain dew. Finally if someone would post the recipe here again that would be great. Thanks for the help!

Cherry or orange have worked the best for me with a Mt.Dew cake
I am making one tomorrow with Mt.dew and cherry jello

I haven't tried Mt. Dew soda, but i have to say my kids loved this cake. I used fruit punch soda and found some jello that was berry falvored and it was blue. The cake so pretty and i put little sprinkles on top and it looked really patriotic.

I'd like to know about the Dr Pepper cake!! I'd be willing to try it, but would I use white or chocolate cake mix? Never made this before, do you just use cake mix and the soda, no eggs, etc ?

OK, it may be a stupid question, but do you make the jello according to the directions and mix it with the cool whip or just mix the powder with the cool whip?

Oh wow! I've gotta try making one of these. Definitely sounds easy! Not much of a cook, so the easier the better. The orange soda with orange topping sounds so yummy!
Also, is there a certain brand of cake mix to use for this? Or any regular cake mix? I was wondering about eggs, oil, etc. Because some mixes you have to add them, and some you don't.Last edited by shelhop; 12-05-2003 at 06:18 AM.
