An awesome recipe for Banana Split Cheesecake (no bake!)

    Here is the original recipe:
    Banana Split Cheesecake
    Ingredients

2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
    3/4 cup melted butter
    4 cups confectioners' sugar
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
    3 medium bananas, quartered
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
    8 maraschino cherries, halved
    1/4 cup chocolate syrup
    1/2 cup pecan halves

    Directions
1 Blend the melted butter or margarine with the graham crackers and press into the bottom of one 9x12 inch pan.
2 Blend the confectioner's sugar and the cream cheese together until smooth. Spread over the graham cracker crumb layer. Layer the crushed pineapple and the bananas over the cream cheese layer. Then spread the whipped topping over the top. Decorate with maraschino cherry halves. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and sprinkle with pecans. Chill for at least 4 hours then serve.

Ok, we decided to celebrate my daughter's birthday yesterday so I have already made this. I can tell you that this is heavenly!!! It is SO good!! Anyways I made some modifications:
I used three things of cream cheese (you want to do this because it was just firm, if you use what the recipe calls for then it will probably be runny)
I used a 20 oz can of crushed pineapple and i let it sit in a strainer for about 10 minutes to get the juice out (otherwise it is runny)
I used four bananas and just sliced them (forget the quartering) and made five rows with a bit of space in between the rows
for the cool whip I only put a big spoonful every couple of inches rather than trying to spread it
I used whole maraschino cherries and put one on top of each spoonful of whipped cream
I used not only chocolate syrup but strawberry and caramel!
I used walnut pieces but you can usae pecans, peanuts, or almonds

I made my crust (used a 9x13 dish) and then the crean cheese filling. Don't add extra sugar even though you are using an extra deal of cream cheese. It is kind of thick so put big blobs evenly spaced out and just sort of gingerly spread. Too hard and you start messing with the crust afterwards. Then I added my bananas (I briefly dunked them in lemon juice so they would not turn color), then I added the pineaple over te bananas. Then I let it set for the four hours. Before serving I drizzled with the strawberry, caramel, and chocolate sauce. I then added the spoonfuls of whipped cream, added a cherry to each spoonful, and then sprinkled the nuts over everything.

This is so good!! (Have I mentioned that yet?) But it is rich! So beware, you only want a small piece and probably a glass of milk. Everyone here loved it!

It is very, very good. But like I said it IS rich. It only takes about a half hour total time to make and the no baking is great with our heat.

    yum!! writing this down!!
Every day I live I am more convinced that the waste of life lies in the love we have not given, the powers we have not used, the selfish prudence that will risk nothing and which, shirking pain, misses happiness as well.

One of our grandaughters makes a good one. She uses 2 pkgs of Jello brand cheesecake pudding, adds several slice bananas and chopped cherries and pours it into a deep dish graham cracker pieshell. Then it is topped with cool whip and drizzle with Hersheys squeeze bottle chocolate syrup. Only about 10 mins. Scrumptious, every single calorie melts in your mouth
    Toodles, Nanajoanie
