Thumbs Up To Albertsons
This is the grocery store Tyler and I went to this afternoon to get him some diapers and wipes. We walked around the store for a few minutes to get some samples. Took a picture with Chuckie from the rugrats and started shopping. While putting something in my basket I noticed Tyler was gone. I FREAKED!
I ran up and down the isles looking for him (he was just right there). I grabbed a store employee and told him I couldn't find my son. Right away he shouts code adam and gets a desciption of Tyler. Before they even had the description of him they had all the exits blocked and the store employees were helping me look for him. Within a minute or two we found him thanks to all the employees quick actions. He was looking for cream (ice cream). I wanted to cry. I was upset he had walked away but all I could do was hug him.
Thanks to all the employees at the Albertsons in Folsom.
I was kind of upset that a few customers saw him and didn't stop him from walking away but thinking about it later I thought maybe they were afraid to get involved

How scary! Glad you found him!! The code adam program is really great. Although the customers that saw him should have stopped them, maybe they were scared to get involved. With all the child abductions going on, what if they tried to get him and he screamed or people thought they had bad intentions. In a situation where I see a child walking around alone, I'de probably grab the nearest associate.

Isn't it scary when they disapper...and they do it so fast. My 3yr old DS thought he would hide in the clothes racks at Wally World....and NOT answer when I called.....I freaked....but when I said his whole name REALLY really load he peeked out....I grabbed him, hugged him....then put him in my cart.....scared the $@#^&*% out of me. Congrats to your Albertsons for responding so quickly....have you posted a thank you at Planet feedback?

That's great! I love hearing when these stories have a happy ending. I'd suggest writing a letter on Planet Feedback. A lot of times, the head office will reward the store employees when they get a compliment.
By the way, Kit...we're almost neighbors! I live a few miles north of where you are.
