my hair needs help
i've managed to get myself into more trouble with hair bleach. this time i didn't leave it on long enough. usually the roots are so much lighter than the rest, i rinsed after about 20 minutes instead of 30 or more. my roots are an orangish-copper color. while the mix was on my hair, it looked about even with the rest, so i rinsed. while it was wet it looked fine. i stepped into the bathroom a few minutes ago, and surprise - darker roots. is there anything i can do to lighten them up other than buying another kit or having it done professionally? i am desperate here, i will try almost anything. right now i pretty much hate it. i'm trying to convince myself it doesn't look that bad, but i can't do it. it's worse than having bright, almost white roots and darks ends. maybe in the morning it won't look so bad...
thanks ahead of time for any suggestions.

maybe just spend the money on a box of regular hair color that matches the darkest color of your hair and bleach again later?

There isn't much you can do when it comes to bleach. You either will have to dye your hair a different color, get professional help, rebleach, or low-light.
