Question My rasafrasing cats chewed the cord off my blinds, anyone have any suggestions?

If anyone is really handy, I need some help with this blinds issue... My cats chewed off cords for the blinds (of course at the top so that it can't be closed or the string will be lost inside). Anyone have any ideas? Argh....pets get expensive. And of course they have other toys but noooooooo....they have to chew on expensive hard to fix items....

Check at WalMart or KMart. They generally sell the cord so that you can record your blinds. Cats are unique aren't they? 600 catnip toys and they would rather mess with the blinds.......

IF YOUR GONNA GET A NEW CORD... YOU MIGHT AS WELL GET THE NEW BLINDS IF YOU HAVE THE CHEAP KIND BECAUSE THEY ARE DEFINATELY NOT EXPENSIVE. There are preventative things you can get for next time... PETCO sells this stuff that tastes bad that you can put on cords and styff so that they wont chew on it!! HEHE

GREAT ADVICE, I don't know why I didn't think of the spray for on the cords, I have just been spraying THEM with a bottle of water when I saw them chewing on them, but I never thought about the stuff that tastes bad to them. I don't know how they got to the cord because I had it tied up. They are unique....they mess with what they aren't supposed to no matter what toys you give'em.

Thanks again for coming through everyone!

    Unhappy blind cords

OMG...Now I gotta worry about my blind cords too....LOL My cat has already destroyed 3 of my brand new blinds. She climbs in & out of them and swats them...they`re just a mess....I have 2 of them taped. She only seems to ruin the bottom slats. My ma laughs when she comes over cuz she lives in an apartment complex & she said that she can tell who owns cats where she lives because all of their blinds look like mine from the outside..I`m going to see about getting that spray stuff! Never thought of that. Christ! If it works then I`ll go out & buy new blinds...but only then...LOL

One suggestion to buy more cord and restring them, probably can find this at Lowes; also, sympathy I know how you feel my daughter's hamster managed to pull the bottoms of my 80.00 curtains into her cage and chew them full of holes.
Ignorance is bliss but the question is can we afford it?
