    cat+passing stone=question

Last night my husband and I noticed that our cat Archie was going to his litter box around 5 or 6 times within 5 minutes. Upon further investigation we noticed that his urine was light pink. I called the Vet and he said that it sounded like Archie either had a bladder infection or he was passing a stone. He also said that the fact that Archie is urinating and is acting like normal is okay and isn't a medical emergency. We have to take him in to see the vet this afternoon. My question is: how will they be able to know for sure if he is in fact passing a stone? Will they be able to tell us if there are more stones? How can we prevent this from happening again? I am very worried about him and any answers or personal experiences with this sort of thing will help! Thanks so much!
