What stations are showing the superbowl?
We have a satellite dish and for some reason have been denied access to NBC and ABC even though we can't pick either of these channels up with a regular antenna. Anyway I'm betting one of these have the rights and so my poor hubby won't get to watch the superbowl, as for me I hate football. So what channels are showing it?

I asked my satellite company they had applied for me and said that those two did not give a reason, Fox and CBS allowed me to view them, what I don't understand is that anyone in the right place can toss an antenna out and get it and here I can't and I am willing to pay for it and they won't let me have it. I'm sure they get paid by the satellite company if I get their station through them but yet they said No. I am going to go to their website and ask them, anybody else ever had this problem?
Ignorance is bliss but the question is can we afford it?

Re:Superbowl viewing stations
FYI: ABC has the rights to show the Super Bowl this year. In my state if you have satellite, in order to view your local cable stations you have to pay an additional fee for those cable channnels. So I have satellite plus I pay my local cable company for stations 2-13 that I don`t get through the satellite company. Hope this helps!!! You may want to contact your local cable provider on this, but it may be too late for this years` Super Bowl.

Here in my area basic cable is 31.00 or more a month, that includes about 44 channels, for 34.00 I can get 100 channels through my satellite company and even if I wanted to get my local channels through my satellite company it won't happen but what I can get for a fee is certain larger city network channels like I can get NEW Yorks NBC, CBS, ABC,, Fox for around 5.99 a month that is what I am wanting to do but for some reason ABC and NBC have refused to allow me to, though as I stated in my previous post I'm sure they get some money for it from the satellite company but I think everyone should get these channels for free since if one lives in an area where they can get good reception they can get all of these without paying any kind of fee.

Kid Rock WAVED at ME!!
It has something to do with local advertising. I had my distant ABC channels denied to me (I had ABC east and west, so I could watch prime time on ABC and NBC, too) because they figured if I was watching distant network programming, local advertisers were being denied access. I think it sucks. And I hate football, too, but there will be no escaping it tomorrow. Super Bowl Sunday SUCKS!!
How do you tell a man is well-hung? You can barely slip your finger between his neck & the noose.

Satellite Dish
We have Direct Tv also and when we asked for local channels (ABC, NBC, etc) we got denied because the satellite company said they cannot charge us for them due to the fact we can get them with an antenna??? But please charge me for them because with my antenna they are so snowy! Anyway, some type of regulation because they major networks complained that people should not have to pay for their local channel...who knows?????
