    computer question anyone know??

OK my grandmas computer is on the fritz AGAIN! ive fixed it the last couple times and my dad the few times before that, yeah good ol grandma is giving it her all on learning how to use it but she oviously goes roaming arround in crap she shouldnt!!
but anyways, does anyone know what this is or how to fix it.

its a really ancient computer, she no longer has the disks to it, etc.

when it boots up it comes up with a black screen, then it brings up the bios info, then tries to load all the information and once it gets to that stuff it stops, and just stays like that, it wont load windows, it wont run the drives, it wont do anything! anyone know how to fix this?? she doesnt have $ to buy a new one and we dont either or I would. this computer seems as old as she is ( 86 yrs old ) or at least runs like it!. this computer is her best friend at the apt. so the better we get it back up the better. anyone want to take a guess at this problem??

There are tons of people knowledgeable on computers. I'm not one of them (obviously, from my own problems the last month) BUT, can you go to the manufacturer's website? Most have a decent 'help' or support section. Lasher or ahippiechic or a couple others are the ones that can help you best on this! Good luck.

And tell Gramma to stay away from xxx.com!

Does she run a virus program? Could it have been bitten by a cyberbug?

    LOL @ xxx.com LOL

good lord your totally asking the wrong person, it still suprises me that I fixed it the last few times one time had to reload windows, the other 3 times it was just a connection or outdated driver problem, but believe me other than that im clueless. but seems eveyone think im good at computers!...... ide like the jeanie to grant me my wish on that, but so far he hasnt!LOL

and to be honest, this was a home made computer bits and pieces from other computers, im not even sure if there is a site for support! lol.

and ty for suggesting though, but im just totally lost. as always

Did you try to to boot up in safe mode? If you can, you might be able to fix the problem. I don't know much about computers either, I just keep messing with something till I figure it out.......usually, LOL! (Not recommending you do that tho, I've made some messes bigger!)

Guessing may be virus...may be keyboard if it's bad computer may not boot. May be hard drive. Does Grandmas PC run the same operating system as yours and do you have a disk or know someone who does? If so try booting from that disk.
