What song...
Makes you cry (almost) EVERY time you hear it?
Mine is John Denver's Take Me Home Country Roads...
My uncle used to sing that to me a LOT when I was younger. Then when I was 8 he killed himself. So I cry whenever I hear that song now .... thankfully its not on all that often..
Real women don't have hot flashes, they have POWER SURGES!!

ANY SONG BY JAMES TAYLOR.
CAN'T EXPLAIN IT.
MAYBE BECAUSE WHENEVER MY
HUBBY PLAYS THE CD,
HE LOOKS SO HAPPY TO
BE JUST SITTING BACK
AND SINGING WITH THOSE SONGS.
I KNOW THAT NO MATTER WHAT THOSE
SONGS WILL ALWAYS REMIND ME OF HIM.

THEN HE LAUGHS AT ME
FOR BEING SO SILLY.
BUT I BELIEVE
THAT WHEN PEOPLE SING
OUT LOUD, NO MATTER
IF THEY HAVE A GREAT VOICE OR
A NOT SO GREAT VOICE,
TO ME IT MEANS THEIR SOUL IS HAPPY.

mine is silent night 9/11. the words are spoken and silent night is played in the background. every time i hear it i cant help but cry.
heres the words...........
You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news, Sept. 11, 2001. Neither will I. I was on the 110th floor in a smoke-filled room with a man who called his wife to say "Goodbye." I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say, "Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK... I am ready to go." I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children. I held her up as she tried to understand his words as she realized he wasn't coming home that night.
I was in the stairwell on the 23rd floor when a women cried out to me for help. "I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!" I said, "Of course I will show you the way home -- only believe in Me now."
I was at the base of the building with the priest ministering to the injured and devastated souls. I took him home to tend to his flock in Heaven. He heard my voice and answered.
I was on all four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the believers there. Comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them.
I was in Texas, Kansas, London, everywhere in the world. I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me?
I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name -- though they did NOT all know Me. Some met me for the first time on the 100th floor. Some sought me out with their last breath. Some couldn't hear me calling them through the smoke and flames, "Come to Me... this way... take my hand."
Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.
But, I was there.
I did not place you in the tower that day -- you may not know why, but I DO.
However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me? Sept. 11, 2001 was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end. And I will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may be found. Then at any moment, you know you are "ready to go."
I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven." Besides the fact he wrote it about his 5 year old son that died after falling off their apartment balcony, it was played at a close friend's 11 year old son's funeral. After the 11 year old committed suicide by shooting himself. A year later my friend died of cancer. I can't stand to even say that song's title.
Pacifist: Someone who has the nutty idea that killing people is a bad thing.

Butterfly Kisses...
I have a friend (my best friend since we were 1) who had that song played at her first wedding. Her father and her danced to it. Well, she and her first hubby split and her dad died. I know that God wanted her to have a wedding so her daddy could give her away and she could dance with him to that song.
Bob Carlisle
Butterfly Kisses
There's two things I know for sure.
She was sent here from heaven, and she’s daddy’s little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night,
She talks to Jesus, and I close my eyes.
And I thank God for all the joy in my life, But most of all...
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair.
"Walk beside the pony daddy, it’s my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, daddy, but I sure tried."
Oh, with all that I’ve done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.
Sweet sixteen today.
She’s looking like her momma a little more every day.
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and makeup, from ribbons and curls.
Trying her wings in a great big world. But I remember...
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you daddy, but if you don’t mind,
I’m only going to kiss you on cheek this time."
With all that I’ve done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.
All the precise time.
Like the wind, the years go by.
Precious butterfly, spread your wings and fly.
She’ll change her name today.
She’ll make a promise, and I’ll give her away.
Standing in the bride room just staring at her.
She asked me what I’m thinking, and I said, "I’m not sure,
I just feel like I’m losing my baby girl."
Then she leaned over... and gave me...
Butterfly kisses, with her mama there.
Stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair.
"Walk me down the aisle daddy, it’s just about time."
"Does my wedding gown look pretty daddy?" "Daddy don’t cry."
With all that I’ve done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses.
I couldn’t ask God for more, man, this is what love is.
I know I’ve gotta let her go, but I’ll always remember.
Every hug in the morning, and butterfly kisses...

Nicole Nordeman's song "Why" a song about the crucification of Jesus, through a child's eyes. I can't even read the lyrics without crying.
"Why"
We rode into town the other day
Just me and my Daddy
He said I'd finally reached that age
And I could ride next to him on a horse
That of course was not quite as wide
We heard a crowd of people shouting
And so we stopped to find out why
And there was that man
That my dad said he loved
But today there was fear in his eyes
So I said "Daddy, why are they screaming?
Why are the faces of some of them beaming?
Why is He dressed in that bright purple robe?
I'll bet that crown hurts Him more than He shows
Daddy, please can't you do something?
He looks as though He's gonna cry
you said he was stronger than all of those guys
addy, please tell me why
Why does everyone want him to die?"
Later that day the sky grew cloudy
And Daddy said I should go inside
Somehow he knew things would get stormy
Boy was he right
But I could not keep from wondering
If there was something he had to hide
So after he left I had to find out
I was not afraid of getting lost
So I followed the crowds
To a hill where I knew men had been killed
And I heard a voice come from the cross
And it said, "Father, why are they screaming?
Why are the faces of some of them beaming?
Why are they casting their lots for My robe?
This crown of thorns hurts Me more than it shows
Father, please can't You do something?
I know that You must hear My cry
I thought I could handle the cross of this size
Father, remind Me why
Why does everyone want Me to die?
When will I understand why?"
"My precious Son, I hear them screaming
I'm watching the face of the enemy beaming
But soon I will clothe You in robes of My own
Jesus, this hurts Me much more than You know
But this dark hour I must do nothing
Though I've heard Your unbearable cry
The power in Your blood destroys all of the lies
Soon You'll see past their unmerciful eyes
Look there below, see the child
Trembling by her father's side
Now I can tell You why
She is why You must die"
Hate is easy. Loves takes courage.

GARTH BROOKS
THE DANCE
Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

"Austin" by Blake Shelton (David Kent/Kirsti Manna)
1st Verse
She left without leavin' a number
Said she needed to clear her mind
He figured she'd gone back to Austin
'Cause she talked about it all the time
It was almost a year before she called him up
Three rings and an answerin' machine is what she got
1st Chorus
If you're callin' 'bout the car, I sold it
If this is Tuesday night, I'm bowlin'
If you've got somethin' to sell
You're wastin' your time, I'm not buyin'
If it's anybody else
Wait for the tone, you know what to do
And P.S., if this is Austin, I still love you
2nd Verse
The telephone fell to the counter
She heard but she couldn't believe
What kind of man would hang on that long
What kind of love that must be
She waited three days, and then she tried again
She didn't know what she'd say
But she heard three rings and then
2nd Chorus
If it's Friday night, I'm at the ballgame
And first thing Saturday, if it don't rain
I'm headed out to the lake
And I'll be gone, all weekend long
But I'll call you back when I get home
On Sunday afternoon
And P.S., if this is Austin, I still love you
Bridge
Well, this time she left her number
But not another word
Then she waited by the phone on Sunday evenin'
And this is what he heard
Tag Chorus
If you're callin' 'bout my heart
It's still yours
I should've listened to it a little more
Then it wouldn't have taken me so long
To know where I belong
And by the way, boy
This is no machine you're talkin' to
Can't you tell, this is Austin, and I still love you
I still love you
