Not to be nosy, but are you over 55? If you are, there should be some adult manufactured home parks around you can look at. Around here the homes sell for about $20,000 and up for a 2 bedroom and then the lot fees are about $300 (includes water, trash, sewer, and yard maintenance). You might try checking into something like that.

Good luck! I hope you can stay near your grandkids!

    Talking LOL!!

MICCIT! YOUR NOT BEING NOSY!!! BUT IAM FAR ,,FAR FROM 55 BUT MY BIGGEST PROBLEM IS I HAVE LIVED OUT IN THE COUNTRY IN A HOUSE WITH 2 ACRES OF LAND AROUND ME WITH ALL THE ELBOW ROOM A PERSON CAN ASK FOR,FOR 20 YEARS,IT IS GOING TO BE A REAL BIG ADJUSTMENT WHEN I MOVE,I HAD THOUGHT ABOUT BUYING A PIECE OF LAND AND PUTTING A MODULAR HOME ON IT
BUT I THINK THAT WOULD BE THE CLOSEST I WOULD GET TO BEING IN A MOBILE HOME STYLE HOUSE,,I WOULD GO NUTS LIVING IN A MOBILE HOME PARK,,THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM AND THE PRICES ARE RIGHT BUT THE IDEA IS NOT FOR ME,,BUT THANK FOR THE SUGGESTION,,I CAN USE ALL THE IDEAS I CAN GET

THE REASON I WELL BE HAVING TO SELL THE HOUSE I LIVE IN IS BECAUSE ITS ONE OF THE HOUSES MY MOM OWNS AND ITS GOING UP FOR SALE AND THE MONEYS ARE TO BE DIVIDED BETWEEN ME AND MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS,,SO I THOUGHT I BETTER PLAN AHEAD

    AGAIN THANX!!

Would your siblings be interested in dividing the land and selling you a small parcel (or taking it out of your profits)? Then, you could purchase a small manufactured home and place it on the land.

    miccit!

that was my thought years ago but the county law says you have to have exactly 2 acres to subdivide a parcel,i say we have 2 acres but it short just a few square feet of making 2 acres,,so that thought wont work ,,thank you again!! it well be a few years yet before all this well take place but just planning ahead amd getting ideas

we have a 3 bedroom, 1 bath, w/1 building in the back. If I were to sell it today, I'd like no less than 60,000, and yes that's WITH the problems it has. And, we could prolly get that too (i'd take absolutely no less than what we paid which was 58,300 or so)

And, some homes are more expensive here, some are cheaper, the home built in 1900 had 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, tiny kitchen, basement that leaked & a building they asked for about what we paid for ours..(don't know what it went for)

Newer homes are more expensive..and the nice SIL bought a fairly new home & they had plumbing problems, so u never know...

You need to think if relocating to a new area is for you. Some people have done that and been miserable. No friends or family. I'd rather live in a small place and be around my friends and family. When we get older we need that support.

    Talking THANX!!! ALL!!

JANELLE,I COULDNT AGREE WITH YOU MORE,,I SOOOO! HOPE IT WORKS OUT THAT WAY,I WOULD LOVE TO STAY AROUND FAMILY AND FRIENDS! BUT WELL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE,,FINDING A HOUSE OR AN APT AROUND HERE YOU CANT GET NOTHING FOR LESS THEN A $1000 A MONTH AND THAT IS FOR A 1 BEDROOM APT/HOUSE

AND THE REASON I WANT TO PLAN AHEAD FOR THIS IS BECAUSE,,SAY!! I GET CLOSE TO A $100,000,,MONEY GOES SOOOO FAST AND THAT CAN BE SPENT JUST ON LIVING IN A FEW YEARS AND IF I HAVE A PLAN,,I CAN PLOP MY MONEY ON A HOUSE BEFORE IT GETS SPENT

FLUTY,, OH,YOUR PRICE FOR YOUR HOUSE SOUNDS FINE BUT REALLY DONT WANT TO MOVE THAT FAR EAST! BUT THANX! ANYWAY!

SUZZIQ03,,LOL THATS WHERE HUBBY WANTS TO MOVE,,WE ALREADY OWN LAND AT THE OTHER SIDE OF BULLHEAD CITY,,ARIZONA SIDE AND HE WANTS TO PUT A MODULAR ON THAT LAND AND SAVE THE REST OF THE MONEY WE GET FROM SALE OF HOUSE!,,WOULD BE GREAT BUT I MOVED AWAY FROM ALL THE CASINO ONCE DONT WANT TO GO BACK! ALL MY MONEY WOULD GET SPENT!

peachy, find a good financial consultant and tell him your plans for the future. Should be able to help you get there if he's a good one. Save your money and invest wisely.
