Thread: Just Want You To Understand...

I just want to explain something here about the troll threads. No one has to reply, I just want people to undersatnd what I'm talking about when I talk about trolls. I am NOT talking about people in this forum who go to other forum & post there opinions. That's not a troll, it isn't even an issue. I'm talking about people who "troll" forums, this one included. People from other places, (not our members) who go in search of boards, (like this one) to post there crap, to try & shock & anger us. I don't know if many of you remember awhile back when people from FC (another forum) came here & posted all the nasty linx & pix. (that's how I discovered that place) Those people ( & people like them) are trolls. And when they were posting their nasty linx & pix, and smart a$$ comments in everyone's posts, everyone was having a good time bashing them. Some of our BBS members went to there forum & b!tched them out. All the people who troll this board are not as obvious as those, but there have been a lot of others. We didn't just decide to call them names, that's what people like that are called online. When people come here & post there crap, they are "trolling the boards", the posters are "trolls".

I just wanted everyone to know what I mean when I say "troll" and that I'm not talking about our regular members here.

Yep like the horrible ppl that make fun of horrible things that happen in yahoo news forums. Ugly hurtful nasty ppl. Make fun of anything in the news. Children missing, those poor miners, and I cried reading what trolls posted about those poor lil twins that were being seperated.

Thanks for teaching me something today. I never really read anything about trolls, but now I know. )

I can see how someone would be offended by it if they weren't sure what it meant. I'm addicted to all kinds of forums, so I've been familiar w/the term for a while b/c I've heard it used a LOT!

I never wanted to ask because I was afraid I might not like the answer - LOL!!! You know...there is an "in-crowd" and trolls are not part of it...which actually does kind of describe it. But trolls are not part of the in-crowd because of their own behavior.

anyway, that is where I think the use of the word TROLL comes when they TROLL boards, like you'll use your trollin' motor on the boat fishin'

Troll trivia: They live under bridges and charge a toll for crossing, or wager with riddles.

Katt, every week or so they post about trolling some forum, so it's not just that they don't like us, it's what they consider fun. They like the shocked replies, and sometimes they quote them over there. So the best thing to do when they (or anyone else) troll us, is to ignore them, (Don't feed the trolls, lol) In one post, they said our mods were really on the ball, cuz their posts get pulled so fast, lol, but when someone was looking for cheap cell phones, 2 peeps recomended BIGBIG, said we had great deals over here. I just didn't want anyone of our regulars to think I was refering to them with the replies to the troll post.

And smeans, where do yo keep getting those cute troll pix??
