I've been pretty busy in real life the last 5 or 6 days, and not reading or posting a lot here, so I've missed a few things. But I haven't missed the fact that many of our members (and many of my friends) have been hurt by the possibility that they might be considered trolls (or infidels?) because they visit or frequent other boards for deals, conversation or whatever. I've always felt that BBS is much more than a 'forum.' There's always seemed to be a closeness here. Sure we bicker and disagree, but when all is said and done, 99.9% of us get along. And 99.9% of us stand up for each other and defend this place.

I don't shop exclusively at Wal Mart or one specific grocery store. I don't watch one TV channel exclusively. I don't vote a straight party ticket. And if I mosey over to another board to see what's going on, my heart and home will always be at BBS. And IF I knew what FC was, and if I went there, (or ANYwhere else) I would not be very happy to know that some people consider me a troll, or whatever the current terminology is.

I couldn't name 3 other freebie boards to be honest with you, and I have no idea what FC is. But I know that I enjoy my time here and the friendships I've made. Sure there's people here I don't always see eye to eye with, there are people here that probably really don't care much for me. But there are also people here that I am as close to as my family and friends beyond the screen. They aren't 'names on a screen.' None of us are. Let's not lose sight of that.

It's sad that we have to spend so much time discussing 'trolls' and this sort of thing. It's sad that we have that much idle time on our hands. For the most part, we are all adults here. And let's not forget that everyone here is as important as the other in the grand scheme of things.

Now. Let's all just smoke a bong. I mean, bang a gong!

Like I said, "trolls" AREN'T people who go to other boards! I go to other boards too. "trolls" are people from other boards that come here and post nasty pix & stuff!

That's what I've always considered a troll to be too, hippie. Sort of like a 'drive by' or a 'hit & run.' Streak in, do as much damage as possible and streak out, or get banned! And like I said, I've apparently missed quite a bit in the past few days. I wasn't directing anything at anyone. And I remember 'Hey Vato!'

Flute, maybe if you contacted the person & just asked them? I think that's what I would do. It would be better than not knowing.
