Congress returns to work Monday, with just four weeks before their next break to deal with the immigration crisis at the border.

They'll face a new request from President Obama: $2 billion in emergency funds to deal with the crisis.

By year's end 90,000 unaccompanied children are expected to arrive in the United States from Central America.

The administration is looking for options on dealing with them.

Lawmakers have offered two solutions: Increase penalties for smugglers or hire 6,000 agents and add more fencing and cameras at the border.

Protesters Block Obama’s Buses Transferring Illegals, Force Them to Retreat (Video at link)

A group of patriots did America proud today — standing up against Barack Obama’s lawless mass amnesty — and stopping his illegal alien express in its tracks — and inspiring other communities to follow suit.

A crowd of 200 to 300 people in downtown Murrieta, California surrounded three buses carrying illegal aliens Tuesday afternoon, causing the buses to turn around before they reached a Border Patrol station in the Riverside County city.



Waving Americans flags and protest signs, the crowd refused to give way when the buses arrived with some 140 illegals from Texas, which has seen a flood of Central American illegals cross the border in recent weeks without permission.

A small number of Murrieta police officers stood between the protesters and the buses but could not keep the crowd from blocking the buses’ path.

The face-off came one day after Mayor Alan Long urged residents to protest the federal government’s decision to move the recent immigrants who had arrived in the country illegally — and have overwhelmed Texas border facilities — to the Border Patrol station here.

“Murrieta expects our government to enforce our laws, including the deportation of illegal immigrants caught crossing our borders, not disperse them into our local communities,” Long said Monday at a news conference. The city had defeated two previous attempts to send migrants to the facility, he said.

Unable to drop off their passengers safely in Murrieta, buses instead headed for a Border Patrol facility in Chula Vista in San Diego County, arriving late Tuesday afternoon.



These patriots have taken upon themselves to fight the battle that the Republican weaklings like John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have been too cowardly — or too corrupted by slave labor interests — to fight themselves, despite Obama’s brazen announcement that he would “borrow” their authority to do as he pleases.

They have shown other Americans the way to stand up to Obama’s shredding of the Constitution and planned invasion and “resettlements” of tens of thousands of illegal aliens.

It’s up to other American communities to follow their example, and restore the rule of law — from the bottom up.

Third immigrant plane lands in San Diego

SAN DIEGO - A third plane filled with Central American immigrants landed at Lindbergh Field Monday morning as protests continued at the Border Patrol station in Murrieta.

Three Department of Human Services buses shuttled them from the plane to one of San Diego's Border Patrol stations.

The first plane from Texas carrying 140 immigrants arrived July 1. The immigrants were then transported to the Border Patrol facility in Murrieta. However, the buses were blocked by protesters and forced to head back down to a facility in San Ysidro.

The second plane arrived Friday, the immigrants were bused to a BP facility in San Ysidro.

Ron Zermeno, a Border Patrol union official, told 10News last week that 40 of those immigrants on the first plane were quarantined at the BP Chula Vista Station with active scabies and head lice. The rest were processed through other BP facilities and released.

Zermeno later disclosed that a BP agent who had being processing immigrants had contracted scabies.

On Sunday, Zermeno told 10News that BP had placed him under a gag order. “As long as they send the bodies up there (Murrieta) to be processed, there will be no agents patrolling, and that's what the agency doesn't want me to say,” Zermeno said.

Thousands of children and families have arrived on the Texas border in recent months fleeing violence, murders and extortion from criminal gangs in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. Since October, more than 52,000 unaccompanied children have been detained.

The crunch on the border in Texas' Rio Grande Valley prompted U.S. authorities to fly immigrant families to other Texas cities and to Southern California for processing.

The Border Patrol is coping with excess capacity across the Southwest, and cities' responses to the arriving immigrants have ranged from welcoming to indifferent. In the border town of El Centro, California, a flight arrived Wednesday without protest.

President Barack Obama last week called the spike in immigrants crossing into the U.S. through Texas a "humanitarian crisis." He asked for more than $2 billion to help with the situation. The president said he will go around Congress and shift resources to the border by the end of summer.

After being processed, the immigrants are being turned over to U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE). Those planning on staying with family members or friends across the country are being taken to bus terminals or airports -- but will be required to report to the nearest ICE facility for case management.

Zermeno said the immigrants will continue to be distributed among San Diego Sector Border Patrol facilities, which could include El Cajon, El Centro, Chula Vista, Campo, Boulevard or San Clemente.

After being screened by the Department of Human Services, the immigrants might be released with instructions to report to an ICE office within 15 days. Some could be allowed to stay under the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program. According to ICE, ATD is a “flight-mitigation tool that uses technology and case management to increase compliance with release conditions and facilitate alien compliance with court hearings and final orders of removal while allowing aliens to remain in their community.”

If they are already on a plane...why not just turn left and fly them back home? Is this too complicated for the government to understand?

again they are not immigrants, they are illegal aliens that violated immigration laws and being latino doesn't exempt them from the law, However what about the USA citizens from cities like chicago which is much more violent than these places where the illegal aliens are coming from not given the same help???

also what is lupillo riviera a mexican singer in his own mind being involved since he is a mexican citizen and according to federal laws they are not supposed to participate in political actions being a foreigner, same laws in mexico about people on visas from a foriegn country

I'm curious Mr. President. How are folks with minimal skills, no documentation, and no English supposed to maintain a household in an area of the country with such a high cost of living such as Southern California?

Majority Want Illegals Sent Back,
Central American Countries to Reimburse Taxpayers

With the Southern States being flooded with illegal immigrants, one would think that our government would promptly be sending them back across the borders. The Obama Administration has welcomed this wave of illegal aliens but has yet to do anything about the influx other than ship them further into the interior of the U.S.

Now a new poll shows that the majority of Americans want the illegal aliens to be sent back to the Central American countries from which they came and, better yet, the majority of American polled want the Central American countries to pay the U.S. for costs incurred in dealing with the illegal alien surge.

Rasmussen Reports found that 52% of Americans polled want the illegals sent back to their home countries “as quick as possible.” Another 38% claimed that we should hold the illegals and process them to determine if they should be allowed to stay.

Still, a whopping 53% claimed that the Central American countries should reimburse taxpayers for the cost of dealing with the tens-of-thousands of illegal immigrants who have come here in violation of our laws.

While Americans deal with the crisis occurring at the border, the fact remains that not only are we ill-equipped to accommodate these illegal immigrants we have in custody now, but allowing them to stay would welcome a continued stream of illegals that we simply cannot support.

Our nation is a nation of laws and illegal immigration, whether liberals want to admit it or not, is illegal.

They can call it by whatever new name they prefer, but illegal immigration is a problem that must be solved and granting criminals the ability to stay here once they place foot on American soil is only going to worsen the problem.

Obama continues to claim that he will act unilaterally on the issue of immigration reform if need be. With his claim coupled with the rampant disregard for enforcing our existing immigration laws, it seems clear that America’s borders are being overrun and aided by a tyrant who feels allowed to pick and choose what laws he will and will not enforce.

Rick Perry Rejects Obama’s Offer to Shake His Hand on the Tarmac

Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) has reportedly rejected President Barack Obama’s offer to briefly shake hands when Air Force One lands in Austin on Wednesday. Instead, the governor came back with a counteroffer. “I appreciate the offer to greet you at Austin-Bergstrom Airport, but a quick handshake on the tarmac will not allow for a thoughtful discussion regarding the humanitarian and national security crises enveloping the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas,” Perry wrote in a letter to Obama. “I would instead offer to meet with you at any time during your visit to Texas for a substantive meeting to discuss this critical issue.”

Perry is referring to the high number of unaccompanied immigrant children and other illegal immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in 2014. The Republican governor did meet Obama at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in 2013.

The president is scheduled to appear at Democratic fundraisers in Dallas and Austin, but he doesn’t plan to visit the border — the site of the crisis. During a recent appearance on ABC’s “This Week,” Perry criticized Obama for not acting with urgency on the border crisis. “I have to believe that when you do not respond in any way, that you are either inept, or you have some ulterior motive of which you are functioning from,” he said.

Todd Starnes told Sean Hannity on FOX News tonight that the illegal immigrant children held at Lackland Air Force base in Texas are bringing diseases into America. The children have tuberculosis, scabies and lice so bad you can see them running down their faces.

“It’s one giant emergency room. They tell me tuberculosis has become a very dangerous issue there. Nurses say the number of children representing symptoms of tuberculosis is ‘simply staggering.’ Spitting up blood, chest pains, constant coughing. There are at least three confirmed cases for the illegals in Austin, Texas… The federal government is covering up the threat of the health crisis. They say the kids have scabies. They also say they have chicken pox. And lice so severe they can be seen crawling down the faces of the children.“
