I just don't see how people are going to come up with the money for health insurance now if they couldn't before. Where's the money going to come from. I don't have a money tree I can get it from. Do you?

Nope and the whole plan isn't fiscally sound anyway. Not to mention, that no one is going to see any monetary benefits for 4 yrs. There are a few things that are supposed to start immediately , but they seem to only hurt the ins. companies.
For instance, they have to allow your child up to 26 yrs of age (if in college) to stay on your plan. I really thought we had something comparative to that now, but maybe not. They can't turn you away. There will be no caps on coverage. Let's see, there were 2 other items the dems couldn't talk enough about but for the life of me I can't remember them. Note, they didn't tell people they could immediately walk into a doc's office and demand care provided by the gov't, which I think some people actually believed.
I just hope the states can fight this and soon.

Hurt the Insurance and Pharmacutical Companies. They were pushing for it and supported it big time. That was one of the reasons why I was so against it.

I'm the lone yes as of this moment, lol. Most of you know why I chose that answer. I've spoken about here a number of times over the last year and explained my reasoning. .

I'm in favor of helping the innocent. This bill, while far from ideal, is better than the "Screw you" that they were getting last week.

I'm worried about the penalty they're talking about giving if you can't get the insurance. I just don't see where the monies going to come from to get the insurance for us and other people that are living payday to payday.

Did the current system need help and adjusting? Absolutely. Rather than put a band-aid on the underlying problem and hand out 'healthcare' like candy on Halloween (BTW wait to you see the level of quality of health carehealth care decline by 2014)...why not address the underlying problem? Poverty. Help these people help themselves to make a living and be able to afford what they choose to in life.
Is it a coincidence that all over the broadcasts are talk of 'unnecessary procedures and tests'? The guidelines for mammograms has lessened in frequency, just last night was some supposed physician stating that we 'over test' and it's 'not necessary'. Health care will be rationed, and not just for those who will be on the 'government plan' but even for those who can pay a higher premium for supposed 'better' services....the industry standards and guidelines will drop incredibly....they have to to be able to any where near afford the undertaking they have just passed.
Whatever happened to the clinics, etc. who accepted 'sliding scale'?
