CNN TALKS TO 100 PEOPLE IN S.C. –
GUESS HOW MANY WERE ABLE TO SIGN UP FOR OBAMACARE ONLINE

CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta says he talked to 100 people in South Carolina on Tuesday to gauge their reaction to the Obamacare rollout — and not one of them were able to sign up online.
Gupta also revealed that only 2,900 people were able to sign up in the entire state of Kentucky.
The pressure is on for the federal government and states running their own health insurance exchanges to get the systems up and running after overloaded websites and jammed phone lines frustrated consumers for a second day as they tried to sign up for coverage using the new marketplaces.
The Obama administration is claiming that all the malfunctions are due to the demand for Obamacare, but critics are seriously skeptical.
Things were no better on Wednesday, day two.
“It was worse today than it was yesterday,” Denise Rathman of Des Moines said after she tried for a second day to log onto the Iowa site.
David Berge, a pastor with two young children in Shoreview, Minn., tried unsuccessfully at least 10 times to create an online account on the state-run site MNsure. His high-deductible plan expires at the end of the year.
In California, less than 1 percent of website visitors reportedly signed up for the state-run “Covered California” exchange.
“Caldwell couldn’t say how many of the 5.7 million website hits were from unique Californians. But assuming 712,500 online visitors saw eight different Web pages each, the sign-up rate was 0.58 per cent,” The Daily Mail reports.

Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional.
What I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected.
To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.
The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business,and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats, and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled by the government.
However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred,or even been contemplated. If this law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have been destroyed.
The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration authority in a number of different areas over the lives of the American people, and the businesses they own.
The irony is that the Congress doesn't have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with! I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care.
This legislation also provides for access, by the appointees of the Obama administration, of all of your personal healthcare a direct violation of the specific provisions of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution, information, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is a protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide.
If you decide not to have healthcare insurance, or if you have private insurance that is not deemed acceptable to the Health Choices Administrator appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a tax instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However , that doesn't work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the due process of law.
So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so much, out the original ten in the Bill of Rights, that are effectively nullified by this law. It doesn't stop there though.
The 9th Amendment that provides: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people;
The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Under the provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to control.
I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get the idea. This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to "be bound by oath or affirmation to support the Constitution." If I was a member of Congress I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it, without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway, I would hope the American people would hold me accountable.
For those who might doubt the nature of this threat, I suggest they consult the source, the U.S. Constitution, and Bill of Rights. There you can see exactly what we are about to have taken from us.

Obama Regime Now Herding People to Online ‘Waiting Rooms’

I’ll start with a riddle: A car named Edsel, a ship named Titanic and a healthcare overhaul called Obamacare. What do they all have in common? A week after the healthcare exchanges first went online, Americans are still experiencing the snafus an infuriating error messages that have become the hallmark of the healthcare.gov health insurance exchanges that the Obama Administration has worked ceaselessly to promote as the catch-all remedy to our healthcare woes. Right now, this Administration is laughably bungling the administration of the website like Keystone cops in a Charlie Chaplin flick; but what happens when lives are on the line? On the first day of the healthcare exchanges, the president stood before Americans and actually had the audacity to claim that buying health insurance from the exchanges would be similar to buying a tv on Amazon.com.
He said,
“[S]tarting today, you and your friends and your family and your coworkers can get covered, too. Just visit healthcare.gov, and there you can compare insurance plans, side by side, the same way you’d shop for a plane ticket on Kayak or a TV on Amazon. You enter some basic information, you’ll be presented with a list of quality, affordable plans that are available in your area, with clear descriptions of what each plan covers, and what it will cost. You’ll find more choices, more competition, and in many cases, lower prices — most uninsured Americans will find that they can get covered for $100 or less.”
Sure, it sounds great. Remember that time you tried to buy a TV on Amazon and it took 36 hours and 21 tries to finally get through to the checkout screen? Remember when you were forced to buy that TV on Amazon or otherwise be penalized if you don’t? No? Well, then maybe Obamacare isn’t like Amazon after all… After closing down the insurance exchanges for the weekend to revamp the “glitches” that caused the insurance exchanges to run so efficiently as to make the DMV look downright speedy, the exchanges are back up with the continuing problems. White House Spokesman Jay Carney attempted to assuage the concerns of citizens by telling them that this supposedly easy process will now direct them into online “waiting rooms” where they will wait until granted the privilege of buying healthcare under the threat of penalty.
“CMS has put up a gate at the front end of the system that places visitors into a waiting room and lets them in at a particular pace so that the surge in volume does not cause the problems that it caused in the past. CMS has been working to reduce this issue,” Carney said.
If the Obama Administration would just take a step back and review that statement, they should note the glaring allegory they have created to explain why Obamacare is a disaster. Right now, Americans are attempting to purchase healthcare. In doing so, they have become stuck in the bureaucratic dysfunction for which this government is known. They are resting in their office chairs, attempting to merely purchase the product. However, the more important take-away message here is what this spells out about the Obama Administration’s ability to administer healthcare. If they are bungling so much at this very early stage, what can we expect when lives are on the line as people depend on a smooth-running healthcare system?

So Obamacare was originally advertised as helping 40 million Americans buy insurance who could not otherwise do so. Now the Government accounting office tells us the number has dropped to less than 8 million because of various unforeseen factors. Originally this ACA was revenue neutral and would cost nothing. Now the GAO is informing us that the first year alone will cost more than $3.1 TRILLION. So the cost of the revenue neutral program is now $387.5 MILLION per uninsured person. Remember that this was the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and is now $387.500.000 per previously uninsured. Has someone you know now receiving health insurance that previously did not have it? Are you paying for their insurance? Of course you are silly, of course you are, and the insurance companies are rolling on the floor they are laughing so hard.

ObamaCare Marketplace: Personal Data Can Be Used For ‘Law Enforcement and Audit Activities’

Maryland's Health Connection, the state's Obamacare marketplace, has been plagued by delays in the first days of open enrollment. If users are able to endure long page-loading delays, they are presented with the website's privacy policy, a ubiquitous fine-print feature on websites that often go unread. Nevertheless, users are asked to check off a box that they agree to the terms.

The policy contains many standard statements about information automatically collected regarding Internet browsers and IP addresses, temporary "cookies" used by the site, and website accessibility. However, at least two conditions may give some users pause before proceeding.
The first is regarding personal information submitted with an application for those users who follow through on the sign up process all the way to the end. The policy states that all information to help in applying for coverage and even for making a payment will be kept strictly confidential and only be used to carry out the function of the marketplace. There is, however, an exception: "[W]e may share information provided in your application with the appropriate authorities for law enforcement and audit activities." Here is the entire paragraph from the policy the includes the exception [emphasis added]:
Should you decide to apply for health coverage through Maryland Health Connection, the information you supply in your application will be used to determine whether you are eligible for health and dental coverage offered through Maryland Health Connection and for insurance affordability programs. It also may be used to assist you in making a payment for the insurance plan you select, and for related automated reminders or other activities permitted by law. We will preserve the privacy of personal records and protect confidential or privileged information in full accordance with federal and State law. We will not sell your information to others. Any information that you provide to us in your application will be used only to carry out the functions of Maryland Health Connection.
The only exception to this policy is that we may share information provided in your application with the appropriate authorities for law enforcement and audit activities.
The site does not specify if "appropriate authorities" refers only to state authorities or if it could include the federal government, as well. Neither is there any detail on what type of law enforcement and/or audit activities would justify the release of the personal information, or who exactly is authorized to make such a determination. An email to the Maryland Health Connection's media contact seeking clarification has not yet been answered
The second privacy term that may prompt caution by users relates to email communications. The policy reads:
If you send us an e-mail, we use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry. E-mail correspondence may become a public record. As a public record, your correspondence could be disclosed to other parties upon their request in accordance with Maryland’s Public Information Act.
Since emails to the marketplace could conceivably involve private matters regarding finances, health history, and other sensitive issues, the fact that such information could be made part of the "public record" could prevent users from being as free with their information than they might otherwise be. However, as noted, any requests for such emails would still be subject to Maryland's Public Information Act which contains certain exceptions to the disclosure rules.

boopster, I thought the same thing. Those grocery cards that give you added discounts but then sell your info for monetary gain or in the case of Jewel, get out of law suits.

Yet Another White House Obamacare Delay: Out-Of-Pocket Caps Waived Until 2015

First, there was the delay of Obamacare’s Medicare cuts until after the election. Then there was the delay of the law’s employer mandate. Then there was the announcement, buried in the Federal Register, that the administration would delay enforcement of a number of key eligibility requirements for the law’s health insurance subsidies, relying on the “honor system” instead. Now comes word that another costly provision of the health law—its caps on out-of-pocket insurance costs—will be delayed for one more year.
According to the Congressional Research Service, as of November 2011, the Obama administration had missed as many as one-third of the deadlines, specified by law, under the Affordable Care Act. Here are the details on the latest one.
Obamacare contains a blizzard of mandates and regulations that will make health insurance more costly. One of the most significant is its caps on out-of-pocket insurance costs, such as co-pays and deductibles. Section 2707(b) of the Public Health Service Act, as added by Obamacare, requires that “a group health plan and a health insurance issuer offering group or individual health insurance coverage may not establish lifetime limits on the dollar value of benefits for the any participant or beneficiary.” Annual limits on cost-sharing are specified by Section 1302(c) of the Affordable Care Act; in addition, starting in 2014, deductibles are limited to $2,000 per year for individual plans, and $4,000 per year for family plans.
Out-of-pocket caps drive premiums upward
There’s no such thing as a free lunch. If you ban lifetime limits, and mandate lower deductibles, and cap out-of-pocket costs, premiums have to go up to reflect these changes. And unlike a lot of the “rate shock” problems we’ve been discussing, these limits apply not only to individually-purchased health insurance, but also to employer-sponsored coverage. (Self-insured employers are exempted.)
These mandates have already had drastic effects on a number of colleges and universities, which offer inexpensive, defined-cap plans to their healthy, youthful students. Premiums at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, N.C., for example, rose from $245 per student in 2011-2012 to between $2,507 in 2012-2013, forcing the school to drop its coverage requirements. The University of Puget Sound paid $165 per student in 2011-2012; their rates rose to between $1,500 and $2,000 for 2012-2013.
According to the law, the limits on out-of-pocket costs for 2014 were $6,350 for individual policies and $12,700 for family ones. But in February, the Department of Labor published a little-noticed rule delaying the cap until 2015. The delay was described yesterday by Robert Pear in the New York Times.

Delay needed to align ‘separate computer systems’
Notes Pear, “Under the [one-year delay], many group health plans will be able to maintain separate out-of-pocket limits for benefits in 2014. As a result, a consumer may be required to pay $6,350 for doctors’ services and hospital care, and an additional $6,350 for prescription drugs under a plan administered by a pharmacy benefit manager.”
The reason for the delay? “Federal officials said that many insurers and employers needed more time to comply because they used separate companies to help administer major medical coverage and drug benefits, with separate limits on out-of-pocket costs. In many cases, the companies have separate computer systems that cannot communicate with one another.”
The best part in Pear’s story is when a “senior administration official” said that “we had to balance the interests of consumers with the concerns of health plan sponsors and carriers…They asked for more time to comply.” Exactly how is it in consumers’ interests to pay far more for health insurance than they do already?
It’s not. Unless you have a serious, chronic condition, in which case you may benefit from the fact that law forces healthy people to subsidize your care. To progressives, this is the holy grail. But for economically rational individuals, it’s yet another reason to drop out of the insurance market altogether. For economically rational businesses, it’s a reason to self-insure, in order to get out from under these costly mandates.
Patient groups upset
While insurers and premium-payers will be happy with the delay—whose legal justification is dubious once again—there are groups that grumbled. Specifically, groups representing those with chronic diseases, and the pharmaceutical companies whose costly drugs they will use. “The American Cancer Society shares the concern” about the delay, says Pear, “and noted that some new cancer drugs cost $100,000 a year or more.” But a big part of the reason those drugs cost so much is because manufacturers know that government-run insurers will pay up.
“The promise of out-of-pocket limits was one of the main reasons we supported health reform,” says Theodore M. Thompson of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society . “We have wonderful new drugs, the biologics, to treat rheumatoid arthritis,” said Patience H. White of the Arthritis Foundation. “But they are extremely expensive.”
The progressive solution to expensive problems? More subsidies. But subsidies don’t reduce the underlying cost of care. They only excuse the high prices that manufacturers and service providers already charge.
It’s one of the many aspects of Obamacare that should be repealed, if we are to combat the rate shock that the health law imposes on tens of millions of Americans. But that will require Republicans to come up with a smarter strategy than shutting down the government.

Obama’s grand vision was to FORCE 85% of the American people who already have healthcare to pay for the 15% who did not…even though it’s not clear how many of those 15% actually WANT healthcare, and those who do will still face high premiums, as will the 85% who were happy with their plans and their doctors, and their jobs, but all that stuff is out the window now.
It’s the most ridiculous system, and it’s actually set up to fail. The Democrats are going to come out and tell you that a single payer system is the only way to make Obamacare work, and that is what we’re going to end up with.
Obamacare’s End Game: Socialism

Socialism is knocking at the front door! We are at a critical juncture in our fight against Obamacare. Republicans are threatening to cave, worried about public perception. They shouldn’t be, because all signs point to Americans being fed up with BOTH PARTIES, the PRESIDENT, and especially, the horrible, horrible legislation known as Obamacare.
Think about it. What strategy would you use to turn the United States of America into a socialist country? What is the strategy would you adopt to “Nudge” Americans into giving up control and rights?
One of the world’s top communists, Joseph Stalin, told us what he would do: “Work for more government intervention and control of the business activities of the people. In this way the American people will accept Communism without knowing it.”
Don’t you know that Stalin would love Obama and he would be very pleased with this President and his nationalization of just a few unimportant things, like housing, mortgages, financial and insurance industries during the his first year in office.
Stalin would be absolutely ecstatic by the future prospects of socialism growing in America. The Liberals seem to have found the flawless strategy to replace free markets with government control.
Nudge by Nudge, the government elite nudge you incrementally into government control of economic activity – SOCIALISM!
And now, the government shutdown is putting the spotlight on the debt ceiling and partisan game-playing and the massive overspending that our representatives don’t seem to want to get under control.
Let’s not allow Obamacare to get lost in this debate! We MUST CONTINUE TO LET CONGRESS KNOW THAT OUR EYE IS STILL ON THE BALL AND WE DO NOT WANT OBAMACARE IMPLEMENTED!
If they can give businesses a one year delay, then why not individuals? If it’s such a great plan for Americans, why does Congress not have to use it?
President Barack Obama held a one hour press conference and did not receive ONE SINGLE QUESTION about Obamacare. How does that happen?
No one asked how many have signed up, which HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius doesn’t seem to know the answer to, either.
No one asked about the website glitches, which have prevented people in almost every state from registering.
No one asked about the huge premium increases Americans are seeing when they get their plan renewal letters in the mail.
No one asked Obama’s opinion on the thousands of people who have lost their jobs, or lost spouse coverage, or have had to fall back to part-time work because companies aren’t going to be able to pay for full-time workers.
And, no one asked why it is acceptable to give big business a one-year delay, but the feds are still intent on sticking it to the American citizen and making them sign up or face a fine.
Fax Congress and let your voice be heard loud and clear. The momentum to defund and repeal Obamacare is growing because we have sent thousands of faxes to Congress expressing our disapproval and demanding they do something. Tell them we are not giving up! Stop Obamacare before it starts!
Democrats and Obama are digging in and refusing to acknowledge the horrors of Obamacare because they are playing politics and gambling that their stubbornness will help them during next year’s midterms and beyond, to the 2016 presidential race.
The Republicans—at least, the leadership and the RINO’s (Republicans in Name Only)—are also looking at the polls, seeing the disappointment people have in their government, and panicking about their future in politics.
GOOD…they should all be worried. The American people don’t feel they have anyone representing them in Washington anymore, and this is the beginning of the next great American Revolution, a revolution to take back control of this country from career politicians, lobbyists and out of touch bureaucrats.
If you are a Member of Congress and you voted for Obamacare or voted in any way to keep the program alive, you are hereby put on notice that you will be kicked out of office the first chance we get!

Consider Obamacare supporter Cindy Vinson. She told the San Jose Mercury News she was upset to find out that her insurance costs were going up $1,800 for the year. “Of course, I want people to have health care,” she said. “I just didn’t realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally.”
Vinson was shocked to find out that—gasp!—SHE was expected to pay for Obamacare.
That is the problem with liberal “feel-good” programs…there is always some nameless, faceless EVIL RICH person who is supposed to be paying for what others get for free. Because, we all know, NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE.

Ashley Dionne, 26, posted a letter to conservative radio host Dennis Prager’s Facebook page that has gone viral, telling the woes of Obamacare on her life.
“I have asthma, ulcers, and mild cerebral palsy. Obamacare takes my monthly rate from $75 a month for full coverage on my “Young Adult Plan,” to $319 a month. After $6,000 in deductibles, of course. Liberals claimed this law would help the poor. I am the poor, the working poor, and I can’t afford to support myself, let alone older generations and people not willing to work at all.”
October 12th, 2013: "The president is freezing out America and we'll do everything we can to make the point that we wanted to negotiate and he took no offer," Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., added. "It doesn't appear as though the president wants anything except more tax revenue, more tax increases yet again."
Just who does Obama believe is the real “middle class?” Everything he campaigned on was the “haves” vs. the “have-nots,” but of course who those people really are was never explained.
It turns out, if you are NOT a citizen of this country, or if you are poor and on welfare (deserved or not), Obama is your great savior. Everybody else in this country, no matter how much they make, is an ATM machine for his big government ideas.
Obamacare will not keep you safe, it will not protect your data, and it is not going to make your life better.
The media wants to paint Republicans as big bad meanie wolves who refuse to allow others to have health insurance.
Most young people don’t want it; but Obama is counting on them to pay for everyone else. The middle class wants affordable insurance premiums and full-time jobs; but the way Obamacare is set up, they are often better off if they stay with a low-paying job. Still, the middle class aren’t guaranteed full-time employment because companies are cutting workers back to part-time positions in order to avoid Obamacare mandates.
