Let me see if I can count (I think I learned this in elementary) Reagan 1 + Bush Sr. 1 + Bush Dubya = 3 compared to Clinton 1

Now hold on, I want to check my math again. Thats THREE Republican Presidents who started and KEPT IT GOING, compared to the ONE Democratic President who signed it.

Oh yea, you're not completely biased are ya.
Before we left for vacation Bush Jr was on the White House lawn asking for congress to renew NAFTA.

I see. Well, we'll still blame it on evil Clinton. Its easier than facing the truth. *sarcasm*

Who hasn't been hurt over this? I have been directly hit because of it & I think most of us on here can state the same. The dems supported this because it would show the world we cared about their problems more so than our own.

Sorry Joulie for side tracking this thread off the original topic.

Now, back on topic. I have a question for anyone to answer. Does anyone realize what caused the great depression? I personally think the government was in a Catch 22 situation with this mess & we all are going to pay for the stupid people who have no brains.

We studied before we bought a home. We made sure that it could stay afloat with just one income. I am so glad we didn't get anything larger then what we have or I would have to be cleaning more.

Once this situation is over, each & every loan officer & stupid home owner who went over their heads needs to be held responsible for this.
I found the information for Jolie and others here who did not know that Reagan was involved in and supported NAFTA. Earlier in this thread I said Clinton also supported and signed it and stated blame for both parties for this coming into being.

We have also been hurt by this, two plants hubby worked at, closed the doors and left. This has devastated the economy here, because so many plants left, many have no jobs and no hope of finding any.
Ignorance is bliss but the question is can we afford it?

We all need to start taking responsibily for our own lives. You hear the conservatives saying that they don't want the government's help yeet they will & do use the socialist programs because they are there. That isn't the way to get the government out of our lives. Everyone needs to cut the apron strings or this whole country will be run by them with everything we do.

With every law that is passed, we lose a part of our freedom.

With every government program that is used, we all lose a part of our freedom.

How many on here want government healthcare? Anything they touch, they screw up. Tell me of one program that isn't a mess because of them (government). End all help, make people sink or swim & maybe we can get back to being the great country we once were.
EVERYONE looks for some government handout on a daily basis. You want to have the potholes fixed or the roads widened or paved? That's not done from private investors. Your house is broken into or on fire, you call a government funded agency. You want social security and medicare when you are 70? Those are government funds. You go into your kitchen to get a drink of water, guess who makes sure it's clean? Yup, the government. The government makes sure the food you eat is safe, that restaraunts are regulated, that your local gas station isn't cutting something into your gas to make a bit more profit, that the factories aren't polluting too much, that sewage isn't running through the streets, that your house is built to code, etc etc. It's not only welfare recipients who rely on the government intervention. We all do to some extent.

The cause of the great depression was due to men (the presidents BIL and friends) trying to corner the market on gold. Gold is what backs money. And oil. OOPS, oil was the cause of WWi and WWII.

How did you come to the conclusion that both WWI and WWII were caused by or fought over oil? Both of those wars began in the same area of the world.

Well I know for sure that what we are all told about history has been whitewashed as much as possible. Heck our news already is, you see anything on there ever about the marches and the dissenters, there have been huge rallies.

Did you see the protesters throwing snowballs and eggs in 2000 at the President's and VP's limosines? I had to go see Fahrenheit 911 to see that. That was a real eye opener for me to realize how there is footage of all of this stuff, but it never makes the news.

In a hundred years they will tell our great, great grandchildren that we went into Iraq to save those poor Iraqis from tyranny, and my guess is oil will never be mentioned. LOL So I don't know if oil had anything to do with those two wars, but I would not be surprised.
