If the facts are as stated above, it is a no brainer. the boy was within his right to protect his mother. he did not, I am sure, attempt to kill the man, he just wanted him to leave his mom alone. No charges should be filed againt the boy but they should offer them counseling, free of charge. This is something terrible that they must learn to live with.

Poor kid.It stinks that he will remember this forever,I guess it is better than if he didn't help and had to remember that forever.I really hope he does get some help and definately not punishment.
