Thread: Rite Aid is full of morons

I am going on a cruise with my husband and another couple so we need passports. Besides the stupid cost & the nickle & dime BS you have to go through to get one, having to get his photo taken as added to the headaches.

We went to a Rite Aid that is on the way to the prothonoary office for his passport. He goes in & it takes forever to get it. I took care of all my stuff a month or so ago so I didn't have the problems like he did, anyhow, after he comes out he informs me that they didn't know what they were doing & that is why it took him so long in there.

We get to the prothonotary office at 3:30, they close the passport part at 4:00. No problem, we have plenty of time. I give them everything I needed for my passport, everything is fine. Next comes the husband's turn. Well, the picture he had to pay 10.00 for is TOO small & cannot be used. They told us to go up a few blocks to a different Rite Aid & have another one taken. We leave & drive the few blocks. He goes in & comes back out after 3-5 minutes. I'm thinking this is great, they actually know their jobs. He gets into the car & says "their passport photo machine is down & I can't get my picture taken."

By this time it's 3:45- 3:50. So I call the prothonotary office & tell them what's going on. They tell us they will stay open for us after we find another Rite Aid to take the picture. There's one about a mile from this location. We drive up there, he jumps out of the car, runs in & they take the picture. He rushes out, we drive back to the courthouse, race in, give them the new picture & guess what????? It's too BIG.

How freaking hard is it to do your job & do it right. I will never do any business with this pharmacy ever again. Yes, I filed a complaint but I did it as he was in the 3rd store so I get to call them & add to my original complaint.

Wow, sorry you had so many problems. Was he ever able to get his passport pic straightened out?

Nope. The prothonotary office said they would just submit everything anyhow and when Harrisburg rejects it they will just ask him to resend another picture.

Sorry you guys had so much trouble. Hopefully Harrisburg will accept the photo although it is the wrong size.
Where you going on your cruise and when? Hope you have fun on it.

We're going to the Bahamas in March!!!! No news yet but knowing how hard the guberment makes things we won't get the stuff back until it's too late to do anything about it.

Wow, have fun. Maybe they will surprise you and all will be all with the passport picture. One can only hope.

LOL, I guess Harrisburg decided to be nice. Glad they came through and you have fun on your trip.

I better have a great trip after all this mickle and diming crap. This so called cheap trip is costing me a small fortune.
