I should stay in school? LOL. I never said I was going to pay $200, did I? I was VENTING (as the thread is called) about people who drive up the prices on toys. And the big deal is that I don't have an extra $50 to spend on games for two kids. The Grandparents are buying games, I am buying the LeapPad. So, if you are done trying to point out to the thread that I am both stupid AND poor, I'll be going now. Thanks for your input though! LOL.

Supply & demand. Simple.
If the opportunity arose, I think anyone here would take the opportunity to purchase an item and resell it at a higher price. 
I missed the opportunity to get one of those HP touch pads. I had one sitting in my cart and removed it. Later changed my mind and it was gone.
It would have been nice to have, but it was a "toy" not a necessity. I'll live.
Frustrating? For sure.
Mrs Pepperpot is a lady who always copes with the tricky situations that she finds herself in....

I hope she managed to find one. Since she posted this I have looked online and in stores just to see if I could find one. They are sold out everywhere.
The explorer they came out with last year is pretty good, my granddaughter has one and likes it. Some of the games for the handheld explorer from last year and the leap pad are interchangeable.

Well Eyore, still no luck! Thanks for the kind words everyone! The good news, on Amazon they have gone down $12 today LOL. Maybe the "demand" has tapped out this close to Christmas. Then I'll just have to pay the $100 expedited shipping the seller will charge me! HA! I am going on a massive hunt Monday, every B&M store I have ever heard of. I WILL FIND ONE.
