    Unhappy So sad, and lonesome...

Ive been away from the forums for quite some time. Life definitely changed on me. Last November, something happened to my leg, which mimics a stroke, but is apparently just nerve damage, no one can tell me why, or what it is. Still doing tests every month or so...

On December 4th, my husband had a code blue at the hospital but was revived and went home a week later. On December 7th however my mother fell at her church and broke her hip.

Then in January, a woman I loved very much, like my own mother....fell and hit her head. She died the next day. She was my best friends mother. It was a fluke. She had fallen many times before. She was 87.

Then in February, on the 7th, I took my husband who I still helped care for in his disability to a doctors office because of nausea he had for over a week and couldnt get rid of. He was given reglan, and had a horrible reaction which included seizures. by that evening I took him back to the ER where they administered Ativan and Benadryl, and told me to take him home, that he would be okay in a few hours. I told them I wasnt comfortable taking him home, but they said he did not meet qualifications to be admitted. We checked on him all night, every 15 minutes until 3 am....when we fell asleep. He died in his sleep as we walked into the room again at 5 am. He was 53.

On February 17th, I woke up at 4 am to a phone call from my brother. My mother was dying from an infection at the rehab hospital. She passed away before I could get back to her. She was 67.

My husband and I had called our marriage quits several years ago, but I stayed along with my children in order to help with his disabilities. A best friend of mine started spending days with us to help take care of the husband. He also became my husbands best friend. He became a wonderful father figure to my children also, upon the rquest of their father.

I had some laser surgery on my eyes, which left scarring buildup and rquiring actual surgery, which ultimately left me blind on my left side. I had that surgery on July 19.

On July 20th, my friends dad passed away. He was in end stage alzheimers, and broken heart at the loss of his wife in January.

On July 25th, possibly from heat stroke, my best friend passed away in his sleep. He was 58 years old.

My friend kept me going through all the mess of the year. Hes gone now and Im having a horrible time still....Its been almost 4 months and still feels like it was yesterday. I try so hard every day to smile, and get motivated, but I cant find it.

Sounds like you have been through H and back. I'm sorry for all the people you loved and cared for has passed. I know it is hard when we lose someone we care for and love. I'm sure you will never forget these people, but hopefully as time goes by it will become more bearable. I wish I could give you a hug in person but this will have to do (((HUGS)))

You sure have been through a lot lately & I am sorry it all seems to be happening so close together. I don't have any advice but I hope you can over come this & find some happiness real soon.

Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.
