My neighbor cut down a tree that shaded out house and our power bill went up $15 a month from the sun beating down on the house all day.

Jolie, can you plant some bushes/shrubs/trees that would help block the view? They have such fast growing hybrids now that they grow nearly full size in 1-2yrs.

45 years ago my Mom planted Privet hedges around the property. In less than 3 years they were very busy and tall. It created complete privacy around the property. People did not know we had a pool, we could be outside naked and no one would see. I plan on doing the same this spring.

Really? God bless you! I'd wait until summer when it's not so chilly.

Hopefully they have plans to replace the hedge with something new..Can you plant something on your side to help with the noise and lights?

I don't know what they have planned ... they are super busy and we are too Haven't talked to them more then a handful of times since they moved in. I am considering blackout curtains but I don't know what to do about the noise... I guess we'll just get used to it.

Well, there really is no conversation. She's been here about 2 weeks and although I welcomed her with a bag of cukes & tomatoes, she didn't seem interested in having a relationship of any kind. She keeps to herself and since she works nights I really have no clue as to when she's up pretty much until I see the light go on or if she goes somewhere with one of her grown kids as she doesn't drive. She is very recently widowed and appears to be shy also, so there is no convo. Such is life. Sometimes things are just no one else's business.

She's still settling in......probably lots going on also being that she's recently widowed too. I wouldn't take it personally.

we live in a basement apt.instead of walking down the drive the upstairs people sit in a chair and watch for to come home and run outside to stop me to do what ever complaing to me when the only thing i want to do is go home. i just get to point where i tell her if she has a problem call her landlord and see what he is doing to fix what ever complaint of the day is. or actually walk down the hill and tell the person in the apt what her problems is. shes always complaining we have the heat up to high or hes playing the music to loud if i go to tell him what her problem is for the day he will either turn the music up the heat up or what the problem might be
