Cool Update: Madder than a hornet's nest

    http://www.bigbigforums.com/vent-whi...nets-nest.html
    (original thread)

Just wanted to let everyone know after everything from April of last year several things at my son's school have changed for the better. 2 people retired that were giving us problems and the other two people were sent to different buildings in our district.

He is at his regular school. Although they said they wouldn't take him back w/o a TSS (therapeutic support staff) in place they have provided him w/ a full time PCA (personal care assistant) until his TSS is put into place.

I am happy to report this first week of school went smoothly w/ his new teacher and PCA. So far so good this week. I truly believe the administration moving the people that caused my son problems helped him as well as a teacher who has been teaching for 25+ years. She is very caring and more hands on to help a child.

Thanks goes out to all of you who listen to me grumble and complain.

Happy to hear this. My great nephew has autism & I know how his parents struggle with him.

It's so good and refreshing to hear that things are working out well. I am really happy for you and your son.

Sometimes our* efforts really do work even though it sometimes feels futile, stacked against us and so difficult and drawn out. For those still struggling, keep the faith.
