    Rolling Blackouts... Stupid effin heat!

Our high tomorrow... 111... never in my life do I remember heat like that. This will definitely be a summer we won't soon forget. And, as if that high weren't enough, they are now going to start rolling blackouts for 30 minutes at a time... I don't know that my a/c unit can keep up w/ the blackouts going on. Ugh... Lord, I pray for relief... I beg you!

I feel for you but personally I love the heat. It can't be hot enough for me because our winters are so harsh & cold.

Yesterday it was sunny & 86 here...today it is cloudy, rainy and in the lower 70's. I want my 90's back!

Sunnie - it is 113 heat index, 97% humidity, ozone in the red and pollen count thru the roof. Come on down for a visit ...

Yeah really, come on down to visit... I'm sure we'd all love to trade places.

    We're running on a streak to rival 1980, which I don't remember since I was just 4...

I'll trade places with you & Jolie in Januray during a Nor'Easter where we get 3 feet of drifting, blowing snow & then the tempertaures plunge to 10 degrees below zero and all of the roads, the ones that are open, are skating rinks.

Like I have been saying it cots me alot of $$$ to get to 90 degrees in January, you never have to shovel & your pipes won't freeze in 90 degree weather.

Todai is another cold, damp, rainy 70 degree day so no swimming for me again...sigh!

It is 9:40 at night, it finally "dropped" down to 95 degrees, feels like 98 though...
This is our hottest summer in history here. We are now going on our, I believe, 37th day in a row of well over 100 degree temps. Add the heat index to that!
It's only suppose to get up to 109 tomorrown, it'll be a good day LOL !!

I heard on the news tonight about them talking about possible black outs also. The girls were home today while I was at work and they said the lights starting dimming off and on several times.

Do you think you hold the market on cold? We get snow here every year and pipes freezing is a HUGE concern, we actually had one burst out in front of our house, but it was on the cities side, so we were blessed to not have to pay for it... on top of all the drivers who think ice is just like rain.. along w/ the $250 elec bill every month to heat the house. The only thing you're actually right about is not shoveling... because we're not stupid enough to leave the house when the weather gets bad, there's too many idiots and hundreds of accidents an HOUR... I don't know why you think your weather is worse than everyone in the rest of the country but you are certainly not the only one.

We also have horrid winters here! Couple of years ago we had the great ice storm and didn't have electric for 2 weeks...... 10 below this past yeat etc... (rolls eyes) LOL, anyways... don't want to get in to it!

Ok peoples, it's almost 8 at night, and it's still 109. Sure can't wait till' fall. I guess that's the advantage though with the heat, atleast you can still drive.
Although my car has been twigging out and acting funny, so have others peoples, I think it's because it's been so hot.
justme23 is this normal weather for you, or is this out of the ordinary? I know if ones weather gets out of whack, it can be hard on you if your not use to it. Were use to hot weather, but this year is just dreadfull.

I'm just south of you, Jasmine... so it's definitely normal to have the heat... but not this hot and definitely not for this many days! Although, the temp is dropping pretty fast tonight... we're down to 100... I'm not sure what the high was today, but they said last night we'd get up to 110.

Oh my goodness, I hear some thunder in the distance, oh please, oh please!!! Save these poor fire fighters. Also justme23, not to say that the WHOLE state is under a fire ban !! We burn trash out here in the country..... I am glad my boss has a big dumpster and has allowed me to dump it off at work. It would be stacking up by now. I do hope it will rain, even if it's just a touch, I'm ready to go out and play in it and take my son with me LOL!!

Well, that just royally sucked. The thunder teased me, the wind picked up, the temps dropped, lightening like crazy, and we got maybe 10 drops of rain out of all of it, and.......... we lost electric for 2 hours, arrgh. Atleast it got cooler, so we just went outside.
