FB again. Liberal relative postings. Apparently Americans are evil & cruel, the wealthy ones, because garment workers died making pennies so we can be frivolously and selfishly fashionable. It's all our fault. I guess we failed to insure the working conditions in another country, therefore, they are slaves and we are evil.

For the love of Pete. I can't stand liberal guilt.

As my uncle asked me the other day "when did being a successful business person become a evil thing?" If they want to make changes they need to get off their butt and do something about it.

I do my best to make sure that I don't wear clothes made from other countries. It is getting harder & harder to do.

I do blame these companies for moving out of the country & then telling me to buy from "American" companies. Coach is a perfect example - their quality has gone down (they no longer offer life time warranties), and their prices have gone up. After moving their operation from NYC to China.

I also blame consumers who, in an effort to save pennies on the dollar are willing to purchase cheap products that are usually inferior quality.

I have to search for Made In America items, prices are pretty close (some clothes even less expensive), and the quality is almost always better.

A few years back I made a friend. She really is a nice person. We had lived in the same neighborhood and the kids went to school together but we were always so busy in our lives that we really didn't socialize together but kept it very friendly when on chance, we'd meet up.

So we become friends on FB. No problem, we share a lot of interests. Well, today, she goes off and acts so out of character. During a conversation in her post, personally attacks me out of left field, so I back off because obviously, somethings is going on. So someone else comments on the original posts and Holy Hannah she goes for the jugular. At this point, I witnessing this person's severe melt down.

She's off the wall at this point, betraying other's confidences publicly and just lashing out. Apparently she has had some health issues for a while and it either got to her on a very difficult day or some kind of side effects from meds. But so very sad to watch.

Deep down, I still believe she's a good person but......that kind of attack and public betrayal is not good. I would love to help her, but I cannot afford the price.

Thanks Beanie. I feel so bad for her because she really is a lovely person but her sickness.....such a sad situation. I'm hoping it's just a med thing and that she can change it. What a hardship for her and her family. She has 3 sweet daughters and one of them is autistic too, such a tragedy.

Freakin insurance companies. I have 3 policies. My home car and the new house. They cancelled my home and car because I did not renew 3 months in advance. Isn;t that crazy. My car insurance expires May 23 and my homeowners expires July 9. But since I did not renew already, they cancelled me. Then I got a policy on the fixer upper I just bought. They called and said I owe an additional $1K because replacement cost is $298K. I paid $70K for a fixer upper. Besides there are 3 buildings in that small town that would be valued at or above $298K, the library, the village hall and the fire department. In addition the house I live in is brick and at least 3 times larger than the new one which is wood and 100+ years old. The replacement value of the home I live in is $150 according to the insurance jerk. How they figure this stuff is beyond me. The new house is 2 miles down the road. So that can't be the reason.

    UGH!!!

You would think it would be their responsibility to let you know its time to renew. Send you a notice or something. Thats what ours does. Sounds like they're just looking for a reason to cancel your insurance and then go way up on you. Please tell me it wasn't State Farm. I'm ticked off at them for going up $250 on our house insurance. When we have had insurance with them 26 years and have never filed a cllaim. My sisters trailer burns down they have to replace it and her possessions and they went down on her insurance instead of going up. That doesn't seem fair to me at all. We both have State Farm.
