I think they do it for the "seemlessness". Quite often the sidewalks are not smooth, uneven, broken, etc. which is a big tripping hazard for a runner.
With that said, they should really, even just for their own safety, stay well off to the side where there is traffic and always be aware of their surroundings. You'll get damage to your car, they'll get run over...... And when they do get almost get run over, their arrogance just makes one want to run them over and back up and do it again!

I'm glad this day is almost over - getting over the hump. It's been dreary and cold - yuck! When is spring going to stay?

Went to the dentist a few weeks ago and had some teeth pulled. My bill was crazy. $350 to pull a tooth. When did this happen?

Sounds typical to me. Sad. I have to get upper partial plates and two 'teeth' (really only the roots) pulled and it will cost over 3000.00 bucks. But, oh well. I have Care Credit and I can pay it off over time and if I pay within that (4 years I think) allotted time, I pay no interest. I use this for eyeglasses too! What a wonderful service in this day, when prices for glasses and dental care is so exorbitant!!!

I am going to have ALL my teeth pulled - 2 full sets of dentures - xrays and "after care" .... $7,800. Total.

I read many go to Mexico for dental care and it is much cheaper. Good if you want to travel there.

Why would you need 2 full sets of dentures?
