I was having medical tests run the other day and was going from office to office in the same building. Each office had a TV on at a loud volume. This was in the same area where people were filling forms and office workers were taking and inputing patient info. It was totally distracting and annoying. In one office while one of the workers was asking me questions she would even stop in the middle of asking me questions to look up at the TV now and then.
I have no objection to having a TV on in waiting rooms where there are children if it is at a low volume but I was in offices that did not treat children.

My gripe is how expensive plumbers are. Theres tree roots that have burst a hole in our sewage pipes and they want to reroute our line. They are trying to figure out how to go around a tree and if they can. The way he talks its going to cost a lot and we have no savings. Just his disabilty so I don't know how we can pay for it or if it'll last till we can save enough. They're talking thousands of dollars and that'll take us a long time to save.

Talk to them and explain your situation. They should be able to replace just the sections damaged. Also get at least 3 quotes you will find one that will work with you.

It is probably so expensive because they most likely have to bring in an excavator to reach the pipe.
Get quotes & good luck.

A tree with tremendous roots broke the pipe and is also in the way they have to figure out how to go around it so they can connect the new pipe and go out to the street. He can't give me an amount till they figure how too re-route the pipe. But I can't wait till they do because then they'll be started and they might charge an arm and leg. He said its going to be a devil of a job getting around that tree.

PLEASE get a second estimate. You will be surprised at the price difference from one company to another. Trust me after 27 years in the construction industry get at least 2 or 3 quotes. Going around a tree is not that big a deal. Please don't sign anything until you get other quotes..

We have a wonderful brother-in-law. He lent us $600 and we got the plumbing fixed. That really takes a lot of stress off us. I want to do something nice for him. I hope God really blesses them.
