I stood home from work today to finally heal & be able to take my meds to get rid of this dang bronchitis. Doctor gave me cough syrup with codine but I can't take it if I am driving thus I took today off.
My phone did not stop ringing from 8:15 this morning from my normal 3 ring circus. I understand my Mom is difficult to deal with & we do the best we can for her but there are just those days....my son & her started in over cookies....cookies!!!! Finally I called my sister & told her to just go get Mom & have her up for lunch because I can not take these phone calls all day long & rest. THEN...add to that my son called to tell me his car won't start. You know what...I gave him my mechanic's phone number & let him deal with it himself. Nope...sorry...nope...not taking you to work today for 4. I need some rest. He is very fortunate his younger brother is so good natured & willing to help out.
Come to lay on my couch, my snuggly blankies to watch the last 3 episodes of Project Runway...my new TV won't turn on. It isn't even 2 months old!!! Called LG....yep it is broken & they need to send a repairman out only their computer system is out...call back later!!!! I haven't even made my 1st payment on this TV!!!!

Aw, that's just not fair! I hope you read and maybe have a decent book to read/reread. I'm struggling with an allergy cough and have to take Cheratussin with codeine but fortunately it doesn't have any adverse affects or inhibit my driving.

Why do people think it's OK to open someone's door??

Yes, another freaking solicitor who tried to open my screen door and put in a flyer!! Good thing I learned a long time ago to KEEP ALL DOORS LOCKED!! I had the main door open and was sitting right here on the couch, when he tried to open the screen door.

WTH even gives STRANGERS the right to think they can just open your door??

I don't even want to SEE them, much less have them come to my door! There is a no soliciting sign at the entrance of the mobile home park where I live. It's a very nice community and maybe because we ARE a "trailer park" folks think they don't owe us the same respect as they might give to regular homeowners (by not acknowledging the no soliciting sign, although they bug everyone, regardless.) Every time I see a solicitor of any kind, selling giving away anything, I jump their behinds and tell them in no uncertain terms that there is no soliciting in our park. They don't expect it and it really takes them by surprise. Even took the minister of the church across from the park by surprise. I guess he figured since he was a man of God, etc., etc. If I want you at my home I will invite you. Otherwise stay away from my neighborhood!

Baragabrat - it doesn't make a difference they solicit in my neighborhood and we have houses. They think they are "above the law" and the rules don't apply to them. I don't answer the door and if they catch me in the yard I remind them that people around here do have concealed weapons permits and it might not be a good idea to walk up on someone.

my latest gripe is that why do i have to pay more for hamburger than i do for boneless, skinless chicken breast??? that makes *NO* sense to me!! burger (the cheapest!) was $2.79 a lb, and the chicken was $1.79 a lb!! guess i will be happy to eat more chicken than beef!

I know burger is high anymore. I bought some on sale last week for 2.99 a pound and thought that was a good price, it was 80/20.

Where does the "R" come from??

Why do people say ''waRsh'' or ''wooRsh'' instead of WASH??

Why do they say "I have an ideaR?'', (pronounced I Deer), instead of idea?

Why do they put SplendeR in their coffee instead of Splenda??

Just exactly where is that R coming from??

It's getting harder to believe that things will ever get better. This is just not working for me.... I accepted being treated like this so I guess it's my fault. I let myself get into this predicament. There's a whole lot of ugly bottled up. Not good.
