WTH is with Gmail??
I'm trying to create a gmail account for a friend of mine, and in order to do it, they want a PHONE NUMBER! It says they either text you or call you with a verification code that you're to enter, to open an email account.
Yeah, right. Like I'm really going to give Google her phone number!!

As I was eating supper I felt what felt like a pebble in my mouth. I took it out and it was one of my crowns. Now I have a terrible looking little tooth until I can get to the dentist. They aren't even in until Monday. I'm hoping it doesn't start hurting.

A dear friend had a house fire right before Christmas while his kids were in the house sleep. Everyone got out safely, but lost his house. His family had no insurance, so everything was just gone. Several friends pulled together and helped him (we had a spare sofa in the garage, etc). And he is a Mason: so they helped them a lot with gifts for the kids. A local group we are all in, started a fund for him, and they were up and running house in just 2 weeks. Great to see people come together like that.
Fast forward to Friday night: A friend of both of ours suddenly decided to take the entire family for a weekend trip. Halfway to the destination, their daughter FB posts that the house is on fire and it started in her room. They are not home yet, over 4 hours away.
Husband calls our friend, and he said yes, the neighbor called, the house is on fire. We have no details. An hour later: it is a total loss. My husband said he was calm, and not really worried. I called the wife: same thing: total loss, but we are happy that we took the pets on this trip. I hung up, and thought, you keave the pets home all the time. They never go places with you.
She had said it would be nice to get a new house, and they have insurance a few weeks ago. My gut says the parents and eldest daughter set the fire, and the younger 4 know nothing about it. Just because our other friend got help, and they constantly talked about all the new stuff they could get.
I feel for the family, and hope I am wrong.

Wow, that would be so wrong, on so many levels......

If it is arson they will be able to tell right away, and I dont know if the insurance companies pay out for it????

I hate to think it would happen, but it is just too coincidental for everything.
I am sure the fire department will look at it. Waiting on news of anything

I get up extra early on a Saturday to take my DD for her ACT test, an hour drive away, have to be there atleast by 7:30 we were told. Test begins at 8, lasts for about 4 hours, maybe a little more....
When we get there, the man asks for a photo ID, so my DD reaches in her purse, and says, oh crap, I forgot my wallet on my bed.
OMG
I couldn't believe it, I was so mad. Now she will have to wait untill April.

Initial report: arson.
Bedroom had accelerant in it. Insurance adjuster said they will have to wait for a full report before issuing a ruling on pay out.
No word on the accelerant, but it was an upstairs bedroom, hard to get to from the outside. This is not looking good at all.
