OMG. This beats all. In Chicago, parents are protesting CPS because when their kids do something wrong, they get punished. They want the school system to intervene before they do something that gets them in trouble. IT'S CALLED PARENTING PEOPLE. THAT IS YOUR JOB NOT THE CHICAGO SCHOOL SYSTEM.

Even sadder, you know that the school had to contacting them before. That would have the parents saying that the schools should butt out!

I really hate that people no longer feel the need to be held accountable for their own actions or inaction.

I was serving communtion ... yes ... that bad.

We had a child sit thru Mass with a DS on earplugs during the entire Mass... the parents stopped to speak to Father afterwards and the child is STILL playing his game... so Father sked them why did they allow this? The parents were visiting our church and told Father they wanted to "expose their son to many faiths" ... and this allowed him "to experience the Service with out beingg bored". Father looked at them as if they had lost their minds ( rightly so - JMHO) and rejoined - he hadn't "experienced anything because is head was in his game the entire time" This child was about 9 or 10 and was walking and playing the whole time this conversation is goin on ... he never looked up. Father invited them to return the following Sunday - but only if the game was left at home. The parents got very indignant and left in a huff saying that since Father didn't have children he couldn't poss understand. ???? We never saw them again.

What would be the point of going if the child is oblivious to his surroundings ?? These are people who are more interested in being their kids "friends" then in being their parents. sad.

I was at a goodwill once and the checkout guy was on the phone with a buddy. He would just point to the total. Ppl were annoyed but weren't saying anything. When it was my turn I stood there holding my things and told him I'd wait until he was done. He rudely told me to just give him my things cause he wasn't done. I just stood there. After about an excruciatingly long three or four minutes I started yelling for the manager to another employee on the floor. He very angrily told whoever it was he'd call them back. I did speak to the manager but I'm not sure he did anything and I never went back. But pissing him off was still fun for me and everyone else.

    Ticked @ McD....

Messed up my order at McD, twice. So I went to the manager, showed her the receipt. In essence, they left off a sandwich as part of the "meal" but charged me separately for the med fries and a small soda. Went back because we were short the sandwich and the small soda. So then he rings up another entire meal. I go back to the table and realize that now we have too many fries and the wrong size soda. okay.

So now I go to the manager. She says you have 1 too many med fries and missing the small soda? Yes, but I wanted a small soda but now have a medium soda which I paid for in the "meal" price. She says, "Bring back the med fries and I'll credit you for the fries and small soda." My head imploded. I went all the way back to the table, got the fries, went back to her and said just credit me the fries and soda. She then comes back to me with my credit and I told her it was really tacky that they messed up my order, not once but twice and is requesting back a fries. Clearly they cannot serve the fries to anyone else and they will be trash. This was their error and my inconvenience. Very tacky. She looked at me like I had three heads.

I even had to ask her what her name was as she (the supposed manager) was not wearing a name tag.

Needless to say, I couldn't even eat I was so aggravated.

I don't have a facebook acct, I don't trust facebook. My husband is trying to start a business so he had someone help him start a business facebook page, I guess that is what it is.
Well he needed to add a phone number, my husband didn't want to put his cell phone number down where he works because it isn't his phone. They put mine in, now I have a basic phone and I don't text or any of that stuff although my phone is capable to text. After they used my number I noticed on the bill an additional 9.99, I wondered about it and mentioned it to my husband but let it go. I got my second bill yesterday and it is on there again. I had my husband call Verizonwireless to find out what this is. Well it is a data charge, when my husband signed up for facebook he agreed to share his info. I guess it is like that for everyone. They shared my cell number and some business was using it. They put a block on my phone number so it can't keep being used for like that. I don't understand how they used it but they were. Now I have even more of a reason not to trust facebook. GRRRRR

I use Facebook for one thing and one thing only...pictures of my granddaughters that my daughter and daughter-in-law post AND to keep connected with a friend in Australia. EVERYTHING that CAN be private there IS private. I have no desire whatsoever to share my life on Facebook. If I want to talk to folks, I call them as I love my friends and family and cherish hearing their voices. Oh, I email stuff now and then to them but generally I talk on the phone. If it wasn't for the pics I wouldn't use Facebook at all. (got to see a video that my Daughter-in-law posted of my 3-year old granddaughter in ballet class. So cute!)

I know alot of people use facebook, but I refuse to open an acct. My granddaughter lives here so I see her all the time. I have no other grandkids. I look at it as well, before facebook I managed so I can manage now. But I can see why some people like you use it.
The phone number is not open to the public. I'm guessing facebook gave them the number. You know sharing the info.

How hard is it for dog owners who walk their dogs to pick up its poop. I was shocked to discover that only 4 states have laws regarding this. New York led the way creating their law in 1978. Do dog owners not realize that it is better for them as well. If people picked up their poop then other dogs would not sniff, or eat it and would be less likely to contract the disease, viruses bacteria, worms that other dogs carry. Lots of these animal issues can be passed on to people. Those most susceptible are children under 5 and the elderly and people with compromised immune systems, like those going thru chemo, CFS, Epstein-Barr etc. I have lived in my home for 22 years and only 1 time have I seen someone pick up dog poop and he was dog watching for his daughter.
