That happens here so much that there have been talks of making laws about how much time the airlines are allowed to hold passengers. Bet that doesn't happen.

First a sinus infection. Got RX for that. Next I couldn't quit coughing. Called doc in the AM and no one got back to me so I went to the ER. Sat there for over 2 hrs. Came home with more RX and they took a chest xray. Next day around noon doc's office contacted me saying "doc wants you to see dr so & so and get a chest xray." Told her that I didn't need to as I had gotten one in the ER night before. I did get an apology. If they keep their word, they will call me at the first of the week and if they haven't called by Tues, will call them because I need an appt with MY doc!

Not only that, because I cough over 60% of every hour, been drinking water like crazy and every time I cough, well I pee. Dang and I NEVER get sick or have a cold or anything! Also have been without taste or smell for over 2 weeks. Have already have an MRI of my brain. Soon, doc & I will talk about that but in the meantime I need to get rid of this crud!

It is annoying when someone replies to a post saying something like.... google it! or, search it, it's the internet......

well yes, I know I can google it, I know I (or someone else) can search for it on this world wide internet full of information. But this is a discussion board, and I thought maybe it would perhaps be more fun to discuss it and have fun with a topic or something ya know.. ??!!! It's not like we need more action around here or something.
Lighten up, maybe sometimes we would just like to talk about something and get others opinions and stuff, besides "googling it"!!

*not me personally, just sometimes I see replies to some peoples posts*

Ok, I'm guilty of saying google it... but there is only one person I say it to and it's because it's always the smallest of things, can be easily found and I didn't think she was asking for discussion, just for someone to do all the leg work for her... maybe I'm wrong and maybe I should have more patience for my fellow members... but sometimes we all slip.

First there was a problem with the wing & then an engine. They were finally getting ready to take-off and there was a problem with the engine again. Personally I would have wanted off that plane by then. My son's flight took off & landed before we woke-up.

My youngest went to college in Philly so he enjoys going back there to go into the shops & stores he used to frequent. He took me to Macy's & Philly Cupcake so it was all good. I think we walked 10 miles. I was exhausted but enjoyed the day with my boy.
We got home & he had planned a Mother's Day surprise for me that went bad. He wanted to get paw prints from my 4 furbabies only I am not sure how a cat & wet paint were going to work out well. Needless to say I came out of my bathroom to his cat getting a bath in my kitchen sink....sigh...and to black paint on my beige rug.

My children play sports and over the weekend there was a game. Quite often, every game really, parents are along the sidelines cheering on their team and shouting out directions, etc.

Well, my son's team so far had been undefeated, which is great. Well, this weekend they played another undefeated team and lost but our team was the only other team to ever get a goal on them, but they still lost. No big deal, it's a game.

Now, I feel the other team had an unfair advantage. The other team had children mostly from another nationality, therefore, their parents (coaches too) were cheering and giving instructions in another language. When I said this, my daughter and husband looked at me oddly. I explained, if one is shouting in a language everyone understands, then everyone hears. If they are shouting in a language that only one team understands, then the other team is at a loss of their opponent's strategy. Unfair advantage?

I'm not upset at all that they lost, I just find it rude and unfair to all the players.

Okay, yes I know baseball and football, etc. have "secret" codes, signs, etc as strategy however, both teams have this, not just one.

Oh heck no! I was off that plane before you finished the first sentence!

Yeah, I have to agree with this. They could have been yelling something that wasn't allowed, or something sneaky, and no one would be the wiser.

If something is going to be allowed....then it should be allowed fairly, for both teams.

And this also makes me want to say "You're in America.......speak English!"

ITA If they aren't saying it in English then they shouldn't be saying it at all.
