If you're going to the bookstore, you save on gas. Plus, you can buy them anytime 24 hours a day.

I agree with you on savings. But for me, my Kindle is for my convenience. I am NEVER without anything to read. I finish one book and there is another waiting right there for me already downloaded. It is compact and takes up less space than a traditional paperback (at least in it's thinness). But, more important to me...I re-read books all the time. No longer do I have stacks of books all over the place. I do have some of my favorites saved on a bookshelf. But, I don't have them taking up space on nightstands, on my desk, end tables, etc. I love books, but I don't like them cluttering up my house.

Why do I continue to let people, whom I help, crap on me. Why do I continue to allow it.

Because you have a conscience, a heart & you care. Don't change a thing about who you are. It makes you who you are.

Look around on the net... you can find books for free in various places. Another reason I got my Nook... a free book every friday... is it always a book I want to read? No, but I get it anyways, cause maybe it'll open my eyes to something I wouldn't have read otherwise. I don't know about Amazon, but B&N also has a huge collection of books that are always free. Plus, I get a bunch of my magazines for 99 cents a month, that would sometimes cost me quite a bit on the news stand.

people that make a commitment, yet dont follow thru.... um, like say they will babysit, then call you at the last minute to cancel cause they had a better offer... or sign up for something to be a "pal" for someone for six months and sends only one thing in three.... (with no excuse, decision to quit or ask to be let out) i have sent my pal faithfully things from month one, yet we are in our fourth month and she has sent me one box of "stuff". its really not that hard! if you have too much in your life going on then DONT sign up!! i would completely understand if you sent a message to sheila, that yu were too busy, couldnt afford it, etc... but you havent even had the courtesy to do that!

I always want to sign up but my life has been so very hectic these past 5 years, I am always afraid that something will 'come up' and I would miss a month. Hopefully I can do this one day soon.
