    Going to scream now

Last nite the news said the weather was going tobe awful by morning, 4-6" of snow followed by freezing rain. My boss & I have this agreement that more than 6' of snow I get a snow day. Woke up around 4 & it is snowing like crazy. My son went to work & was supposed to call me hw the roads were. No call so I went back to bed. Guess what...no snow...yet. Tomorow is going to be horrendous here so no work again. Mini vacation...not a bad thing. Unpiad but ... still 2 days off.
Decided today was a great day to get my taxes filed. Why did the IRS decide to stop sending tax forms? I can do my ds's for free online but I can't do mine. I can't find one form I need but what I need most is the instruction booklet.
Screw this...hopefully the library will have these forms & I can go watch RHW New York marathon.

I'm in the same position as you with work. Ice here this morning but little snow. I was supposed to go to work but didn't want to risk it.
    Tomorrow's supposed to be horrendous.
My boss told us to check website to see if open but with wind I'm afraid phone line and therefore DSL will be down soon.

Ice so bad here that my husbands office (as well as most of the metroplex) is closed. They told everyone to stay home... he still had to work, but I thank God he didn't have to drive in this mess... it's scary out there.

I'd be doing a happy dance not screaming.

It was snowing like crazy at 4 - then there was no snow yet? Girl, what the hell are you drinking or smoking? LOL I may very well want to stay away from it...lol

LOL Bliss, according to the local weather stations it was supposed to snow like crazy until noon then a lull in the action followed by sleet, freezng rain & then back to snow. I went on what they were saying. So at 4 it was snowing like crazy I took 1/2 of an Ambien so I could get a long sleep. Woke up at 10 to nothing. Oh well however my ds went in to work & he said the roads were really slick & icy so no biggie really. My boss doesn't want me to even try coming in when the weather is bad.

I spent well over an hour in my car this morning running the defroster (and reading) to start melting the thick layer of ice only to get to work and have to work freezing all day because the heating system had gone out.

We were closed last Tuesday. Won't open again until Monday. Gotta love the government!

If I just considered what we have gotten, our weather hasn't been truly awful. But all the times we have prepared for bad weather that didn't materialize has made it seem much worse. They just still can't get it right. Sometimes I wish they didn't even try and we just took what we got like people did 100 yrs ago. We could just look in the almanac. I think it's about as accurate.
