    Gosh darn KIDS!!!

I'm sure many mothers/fathers let their children use their iphone, android, and smart phones to entertain them. My toddler had my phone and he brought a racing game!! It cost me 6.99 for one lousy game. I'm upset, but not angry, spending my hard earn money, lol. Does anyone know if there is a way to lock out the phone from purchasing games.

I know some of you would say, don't let him use it, and I can, but there are many games on there that he can play with while I shop.

If it is possible, I'm sure you can find information by doing a search.
Don't worry about what people think. They don't do it very often.

Contact your provider and block "third party billing" from you phone.

    if an iphone:

    settings
    general
    restrictions
click on Enable Restrictions (use will need a passcode)
than turn off the ones like itunes, installing apps, in-app purchases. I read in the paper a few weeks ago that some games have purchasing within the game app and will automatically charge you if you click the right thing. IE: a smurf game where you click on wagons of smurfberries

Let me find the link to the story
    Top In App Purchases:
    1 BUCKET OF SMURFBERRIES $4.99
    2 BUSHEL OF SMURFBERRIES $9.99
    3 BUCKET OF SMURFBERRIES $4.99
    4 BARREL OF SMURFBERRIES $24.99
    5 BUSHEL OF SMURFBERRIES $11.99
    6 WAGON OF SMURFBERRIES $99.99
    7 WHEELBARROW OF SMURFBERRIES $49.99
    8 WHEELBARROW OF SMURFBERRIES $59.99
    9 BARREL OF SMURFBERRIES $29.99

It's funny watching him play the phone though. He's like a little adult. He knows how to unlock the phone, which buttons to push to get to the game he likes and he knows how to put the apps on the desktop screen so he can access it. I have the droid 2 phone, so I think I might just call the phone provider.

Thanks for all of your responses.

I think that's fairly normal to let children play iwth the phones. My grandson loves playing on mine. He loves Angry Birds but there are others he plays too. He is 6. I didn't know about him being able to easily buy games. I haven't noticed that he has.

Keys are one of the filthiest things in the world and I see kid (young babies) play with them all the time.

My BFF used to let her kids play with her car keys. She has auto start and auto door opener. She also let her kids put the key in the ignition, it was a game for them, imitating mommy. She even told me how irritating it was because the kids would open the doors from inside the home and she'd realize that the doors to her car were left open all night long.
I heard all this and my head nearly exploded.

    1) If you park in a garage and your kids auto start your car - CO poisoning.
    2) Car doors left open all night - invitation for thieves.
    3) Let your kid put the key in the ignition?? : She said that they knew better than to turn it, much less put the car in gear. Let's imitate Mommy when she's not there. : Or perhaps while she is standing infront of the car.

Mind you, at the time these were babies - 2 & 3 years old.

This is "common" from what I have observed as well. But just because some things are common, doesn't mean it's a good thing to do.
