Freecycle rant
AAACCCKKK
Ok, I am really wanting to scream.
I read the freecycle for my small town, to see if I may have something people need.
But lately, it has been full of rude, selfish turds.
I know people get down and out: but some are just UUUGGGHHHH
Today's got me.
I am 5 months pregnant, not working and my boyfriend is in jail. He will not get out before the baby comes. I am broke and need little boys clothes, a crib, a changing table, and diapers. I have been asking a round, and no one wants to help me. Everyone is keeping their stuff and not sharing. I need things for my baby, and they have it. People, freecycle is used to help others, not keep your stuff. Start sharing what you have with those of us that do not have what you have.
OR
My husband got laid off, and we have 3 daughters. We can not afford to give them Christmas presents. But I do not want used stuff. If you have NEW in the box items for girls (4, 8 and 13), I can use them. My girls are not picky. They like barbies (the blonde ones only), legos (the small ones in large amounts only), hair things (not the cheapie stuff), and purses (fashion style). They also want those bright jeans everyone is wearing. My girls need to fit in with the people they go t school with. If you have new (tags still on) color jeans in a 5T, 8-10 (girls) or a 4 juniors: please let me know. I will look at them and see if my girls can use them.
UGH. Made me upset. Ok, if you are in need of things, fine. I understand that: Tell everyone: look, I am broke, and cold. Do you have a spare blanket or used coat I can have? Or, my girls would love to play with any toys in your house that are lonely.
How about, I am pregnant, and at a loss for what I need. If you can spare anything, I would be so happy.
Why must people expect people to cater to them?
So hard, not to facepalm some people

I know how you feel.I feel the same way. Both posts sound like its coming from very spoiled people. If you're needy you will take what you can get.
To the first lady all I can say to her is...Its my stuff,I paid good money for it and if I want to keep it just in case I want to have another child, then suck it up and get over it.You are in no way entitled to anything I have just because you need.Get off you lazy ass and get a job.
The last one really floored me.The lady sounds very high class.Im wondering if her husband had a good paying job and thier kids were very spoiled. Now that they have no money they want people to just give them exspensive stuff. All I can say is wow. This christmas will be a good time to teach the parents as well as the children how to be humble and be happy with whatever you get.
Cant you tell i hate demanding spoiled people who think everyone owes them something.

I love the but I want new not used stuff. And what happened to changing the baby on the bed or couch. A changing table isn't a necessity. And I love the start sharing your stuff with us that don't have what you have comment. Wow with their attitudes I don't want to help either of them. And I love the my girls need to fit in with the people they go to school with so give them the bright jeans everyone else is wearing.

Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

I will gladly give all of those people condoms!

The mods at my local FC would never allow those posts to go through. As a matter of a fact if you don't offer something (anything really), you can't request.

the mods on my fc are very strict. too bad yours are not.

We are creating a generation/society of "entitled" people.......it's always someone else's problem/responsibility to help us out of the pickle we get ourselves in.....
Mrs Pepperpot is a lady who always copes with the tricky situations that she finds herself in....

I wish the mods were strict. But basically, it is a sideshow there.
I may not have much to share, but I have given to some people on there that sounded in need.
But most on there believe they deserve what someone else worked for.

I have taken many used items. My whole house is furnished with hand-me-downs and throw aways except for the box springs and mattresses. I am very happy with it. It beats sitting on the floor to watch tv or eating off my lap. When I no longer have a need for something I always pass it on to someone who does. But I must say I hate it when someone gives you a bag of torn, dirty, nasty clothes and waits for you to praise them. I usually say thank you but I've thrown better away.
