Just curious.... if you kept feeding the meter, what was the ticket for?
Also, you just said "i would help anyone if i could if it was something i could do for them" You also said that he is in no position to pay the ticket, so why would you expect him to?
Either way, its your ticket and your responsibility. JMHO

I think you need to pay for the ticket, just because you knew he didn't have the money to pay for anything. In that case, you knew that if you get ticketed, who else would you have to blame for it? If you don't pay for it, you will get late fee charges in addition to the charges you have already. So it is your choice, the car is yours, and whatever happens to the ticket, it is bound to the owner of the car. Since the car is "yours", then you have the responsibility to pay for it. No one forced you to park there and no one said you cannot go out to put money in the meter. Maybe you should of put more money in it the first time from getting this fine.

Perhaps if you had ASKED instead of telling him......Maybe said something like "Is there any chance you can pay at least half of this, since I drove you out here?"
If someone gave it to me and TOLD me I was going to pay for it, I wouldn't pay for it either.

Don't worry about what people think. They don't do it very often.

He already owned the car and i am paying him car payments every month. even if i go to cityhall and ask them to take off the surcharge and the ticket would only be $25.00, he still don't want to pay half of that i am always a responsible person, cause that is what my parents taught me to be.
Did you think about deducting the $65 from the $150 you pay him monthly for the car?

your thinking the way i was thinking. going today to see if i can get it reduced to $25.00, if so, i will pay half and he can pay the other half. his rent money was stolen by a crackhead, i was only trying to help him get his rent paid, but hey what do you expect when you let crackheads hang out at your house. but, i wasn't thinking like that, if i was i would have left the problem alone. thanks, to all.
