LOL Teach them how to count to three.
I know two people who are beyond damaged. I cannot for the life of me figure out how they have managed to survive as long as they have.. No joke.
Don't worry about what people think. They don't do it very often.

Just answer the phone and tell them that y'all are still sleeping and you'll get back to them when you get up and then hang up.
That should get the message across more than any kind of laughing or joking, they'll remember because they interrupted you and you didnt have time to just sit and talk still.

Now, dv8grl....you know you need to be more specific and not use such broad generalizations when expressing an opinion. You know how it goes, the folks here aren't the brightest bulbs in the box and unless you spell it out in capital letters....reallllly slow, then of course you are talking about them

I don't answer my husbands phone. Mostly because I don't want to talk to the person that is calling.
When its my friends who do it., I tell them, "Don't you know we are 3 hours behind you., that its only 6am here?", then I make fun of them for being educated in Florida & for not being very bright., then they argee & we make fun of ourselves for going to public school in Pinellas County.
I think my solution to call the people who call my husband is to call them at 9 or 10:00pm our time.
Like I said, I'm not sleeping when the phone rings, I'm always up before 6.

Well, pepper, that won't be too hard for me, I am only an hour behind them .....or is that an hour ahead of them? Oh, now you have gone and made my head hurt!!

I feel your pain! Just a few weeks ago we got a call from a call center in FL at 7 am. I was peeved to say the least and let her know that it was 7 am and I didn't appreciate them calling. Her response was that she was in Fl and didn't realize there were different time zones.. Um what?! How do you not know that?! When I told her not to call again she told me she wouldn't remove our number.. beyotch! Now we have a new unlisted number, let's see her call me at 7 am now!

LOl.. this seems so familiar.. I called my husband at work last night... he wasn't in the office at that moment so I didn't get ahold of him. I called from my new cell number (we switched to prepaids to save money) so he didn't recognize the number.. now he leave work at 3am. Right before leaving he calls... and says "yes.. someone from this number called me:..LOL.. I'm like yes.. your wife dummy... and since you didn't know the number.. why the heck are you calling someone at 3am????
I ain't from the south... but I got here as fast as I could!

I so hear you on this one!!! My parents live on Maui and I never forget that they are not on the time zone, even though they don't have daylight savings time so I have to remember whether it's 2 or 3 years earlier. But, do the people calling me from the east coast remember that it's 4 am in California?? No. It especially irks me when they are business calls. Unprofessional!
