We used to have that happen quite often. It broke our heart but we cut down (another huge expense) the oak tree that was in our front yard. It hasn't happened since.

We had to dig up our front yard, by hand, and replace the sewer pipe oh probably 5 years ago now. That royally sucked but we barely had the money for the pipe replacement so it was out of the question to have anyone else come in and do it.
It sucks, but once its done you dont have to worry about it again.
