Ungreatful ppl who cant say ty
Let me start by saying when I do something nice for anyone I do not expect for someone to kiss my butt, but a little thanks would be nice. I have been collecting items for yard sales for a year and Thursday and today I hosted a HUGE yard sale, I did great and had very little left over ((yeah me)) I had a few NICE gently used items and a few antiques worth a few dollars and some camping stuff like new. I did not want to throw anything away, and our local goodwill is crap ((staff takes the good stuff)) so I advertised I had XYZ @ my address at the curb and listed a few items I had, I said first come first serve and to take what you wanted but please keep it neat. I went to the store and when I started unloading the groceries in a loud voice he said, "Your ad said you had XYZ, where is XYZ?" I said politely, "Sir, I am giving these items away for free, I clearly said first come first serve, I can not control that someone else already picked up X and Y.I hope you can find something you can use" While I was walking away, his wife says loudly, "Why did we even bother with this picking this crap up." I came out and he had taken everything. Never was there a hello or a thank you, what has happened to manners?

Yeah it was crap but they took it all. To say that was in really bad taste and then take it all. What did he expect you to do read his mind that he was coming for those things. He should have called and asked if you'd put them aside if he wanted them so bad. That would have made me mad her saying they were crap but taking them all anyway. They were very rude if you ask me. People like that make people not want to give things away for free.

I always make it a point to be courteous and thankful. Even the small things we do shows our character.

Thank you all for your kind reply, I appreciate it, I was deepily offended as well. Like I said, I dont want n e one to kiss my rear, but at least dont insult me when I did something to help you.

some people are just crappy, period.
It's too bad someone didn't collect the things that you were giving away that really needed them.
May a huge bird take a poop on their car, and there armpits be infested with fleas~ LMAO

"Thank you" is lost on so many folks, it is just sad. Especially when giving away for free. I give away a lot on Craigs List, and it is frustrating because probably 7 times out of 10, people act like they are doing me a favor.
I am glad you did well on your sale, and sorry that the whole thing ended on such a bummer note.
We had us, we had him, now we have everything.

You can't buy class or manners. Obviously they were not raised properly. I would have told him to get off my property and take his freeloading butt down the road.

I appreciate anyone who does a good job and is polite and we are generous tippers (at least I think 20% is generous.) But personally, I HATE HATE HATE when a waitress calls me 'sweety or hon'.
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.
